Lindsay Lohan's Plan to Stay Out of Jail {PopEater}

Jul 12th 2010 2:31PM A Facebook campaign? Are you serious?

I'd wager a year's pay that if you set up two different campaigns: one for keeping her out of jail and one for putting her in, the one for putting her in jail would be at LEAST three times as successful!

Addicts don't see themselves as anything but "victims". She doesn't realize the whole world isn't outraged at this verdict, they are applauding it!

Her new lawyer (working for the AWing, no doubt) is saying "We're going after them!" After WHOM? After the people she chased to the police station while she was drunk and coked up?
After the judge who did her job? After WHO? I hope this "attorney" doesn't aspire to ever be anything but a joke, because once he's been named her representative, that's pretty much what he'll be reduced to.

And she won't be taking Dilaudid to jail with her, if that's part of her cunning plan. It was given over a month ago for a dental procedure. 30 days is pretty much the limit for that sort of thing, and Dilaudid is a very potent painkiller. That dentist will be risking his career if he re-ups that script. The fact that she'll get Trazodone in jail is better than the majority of prisoners -- she'll sleep a third of her time away, easily.

Her performance in the courtroom was the best of her so-called career. And her parents' media who*ing is also quite entertaining. America does love a tragedy, and that's exactly what her life is. I predict she'll wind up in the 27 Forever club... if she makes it to 27, that is.

Gosselin Kids Earn More Than Jon on 'Plus Eight' {PopEater}

Jun 16th 2010 7:19PM There's something very wrong with Mady... I can't believe she isn't getting some kind of therapy for her obvious behavior problems.
That said, all those kids are going to be farked up in their future... if for no other reason, because Kate is absolutely psycho.
I actually feel sorry for Jon... God knows he didn't ask for all this BS that is now his life.
Tune out, folks. If nobody watches, it will be cancelled. Just tune the fark OUT.

The 20 Greatest Frontmen in Rock {Spinner}

Jan 23rd 2010 10:48PM I completely agree - Thom Yorke should've made this list, and Johnny rotten would've been an awesome addition, too. Silly indeed - wtf?

Richard Simmons, William Shatner Have Awkward Encounter on 'Today Show' Couch {PopEater}

Jan 13th 2010 12:20AM Simmons wasn't mad at all, he does that "stomp away angrily" thing all the time.
Also, seems it was okay for Simmons to mock "straight" people, but when Shatner made his (reasonable, to me) remark, that's when we pull out the rulebook?
I'm no fan of either of them, just sayin'.

Worst Baby Name Trends of the Decade {ParentDish}

Dec 29th 2009 3:50AM Also, I went to school with a kid who's first name was "Doctor." So everyone (including teachers) would have to call out "Doctor Lewis" when taking the roll. So his parents, in essence, gave him a respectable title that people would HAVE to call him.
Let it go, I figure. Judging by this guy's academic record last I knew of him, that's gonna be the ONLY way he's ever addressed as "Doctor!"
I also knew a guy named Thaddeus Pole. His parents must've had a real sense of humor. I mean, nobody wants to be called Thaddeus, so Tad Pole it was. He was very cute, but never seemed to have a girlfriend. I always suspected it was his name (who'd wanna be "Mrs.Tadpole?)

Worst Baby Name Trends of the Decade {ParentDish}

Dec 29th 2009 3:46AM It always amazes me when someone I admire and think is quite smart give their kids a really terrible name.
Case in point, Sir Bob Geldoff named one daughter Peaches and one Fifi Trixibell. What can you even DO with those names?
Also, I can't stand the names given by people of color. How many Shaniquas and LaTonyas and La-whatever-ahs do we really need? If I were an employer, I'd toss that resume aside, figuring stupid might just run in the family.
Each of my daughter's names start with the letter "K" (I have multiples.) We hosted a cookout once, and as the girls approached our deck, my husband casually said, "Here comes our clan now" to an African American. The guy got offended - not by the K's - but by the word "clan." lose/lose situation!
Speaking of star's kids' names, though, I really like two out of three of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughters: Rumor and Scout. Talulah Belle, though... not so much.
But it's like Shakespeare said, "A rose by any other name... is a rose." Tell that to Frances Bean Cobain!

Michelle Duggar Hospitalized; Thanks Fans For Good Wishes {ParentDish}

Dec 8th 2009 8:54PM You know, this family has done absolutely nothing to harm any of you who apparently have time to spare to put them down and poke fun at their "litter."
They take ZERO help from the government (unlike OctoFreak) and are NO media w*ores (as is Kate Gosselin) and they have produced nothing but Christian, responsible, capable adults. They look out for one another, and they provide an extraordinary moral compass to guide their children.
There must be a lot of jealous folks out there, judging by the amount of hate I'm seeing here.
The Duggars are doing something many Americans have either fogotten to do, or have deemed unnecessary to do: they have been responsible parents who've raised responsible children. Their children participate in the home-school organization that ensures they're being taught properly (unlike those "parents" too lazy to take their kids to school, so say they "home school" them.) In addition, their kids also play music and know the Bible better than a lot of deacons in our local churches. They are truly kind, not that put-on bit that a lot of television families feign. I've never seen or heard of a one of their children being unruly, selfish, or hurtful (unlike Mady Gosselin -- I mean, really -- what's WRONG with that kid?)
As for the "drain on society" comment, can you elaborate a bit? They home-school their own children, so don't go crying that they're putting a drain on the public school system. They give a good deal of the money from their show to charity (I'd like to see Jon and Kate Plus Hate give ANY percentage to ANY charity) and they help support their friends and neighbors with their time, money, and fellowship.
I admire the Duggar family. If all marriages had the love and dedication as that of Michelle and Jim, this country would be a much better place.

Hot New Reality Family Replacing The Gosselins? {ParentDish}

Nov 12th 2009 7:35PM Hey, this family is NOTHING like the Gosselins!
First of all, the Hayes family has sextuplets and TWO sets of twins, including one special-needs child (Becca with cerebal palsy.) Kate would've taken that one to a home, just like the dogs she couldn't care for.
Mr. Hayes is a respected police officer. These are the most down-to-earth, hands on, respectable people I've ever seen - on a reality show or otherwise. I have a great deal of respect for Mrs. Hayes; her devotion to her children (not her appearance, not her image, just her FAMILY) is something most families could take a lesson from.
They are humble and God-fearing people who ask nothing of anyone.
Do not put them in the same category as the Gosselins. Jon and Kate are a veritable joke, and for the record, we're all laughing at them, not with them.
God bless the Hayes family, and please don't judge them until you've given them a look. Betcha you'll be impressed, they blew me away, they really did.

Judge Shuts Down Joe Jackson, Who Accuses Son's Executors of Fraud {PopEater}

Nov 11th 2009 8:51AM Michael Jackson couldn't have made it ANY clearer when he purposely omitted Joe Jackson from his will. If that PIG gets a single dime, that would just be wrong on so many levels!
He's probably the main reason Michael had that obsession with wanting to be a kid -- he never got to do that because of his monster-father.
I hope whoever is executor of MJ's will ensures that his kid's money is safe; Joe Jackson would take it in a heartbeat!

Michelle Obama: Glamour Scores Latest First Lady Cover {BV on Style}

Oct 31st 2009 2:43AM The headline read she "stuns" in her cover shot. Stuns? Really?
It's amazing to me how the media tries so hard to portray the Obamas as the Kennedys or something. Michelle Obama cannot and will not ever be able to hold a candle to Jackie Kennedy. And Obama hasn't done anything in office yet, so it's impossible to determine exactly what kind of a job he's doing. Until he's met with a challenge, we won't know how capable he is of handling difficult situation. It's something voters should've thought about before electing him, actually. A less experienced man has never been in the White House.
Not that capability had anything to do with his winning the presidency. Obama is our president because the blacks wanted a black president. It wouldn't have made a bit of difference what his platform was or if he even had a platform.
One of the few things I heard him promise was to bring the troops home from Iraq/Afghanistan. And he did the exact opposite of that. So if that's any indication of his performance, so far he's done nothing but fail.
I'm not saying he's incapable of being an effective president. I'm just pointing out that he has very limited leadership experience. And I'm not saying he's doing a poor job, I'm just saying that, so far, he's done nothing at all.
Anyway, I know this isn't about politics but about Michelle's magazine cover. Yes, she has on an expensive outfit and her hair and make up have been done professionally and well. But stunning? Not a chance.
