Aug 20th 2009 8:16PM I got a miserable trojan virus from a not so close friend from responding to a quiz about Obama that she posted on her page. as soon as I hit the button, I got a message saying all of my friends would be removed and I would not be able to use most of the functions of facebook.
and that is exactly what happened.I tried first removing her as a friend, nope that didn't work, I used my virus remover that did work. But every time I logged in I got the trojan again.I'm sure this has happened to others.I shut it down for good a month ago, and I don't miss it !!

Sep 26th 2008 3:54PM Heather,I was a flight attendant for 35 years, retired 4 years ago. I think you should go to Croatia. I've been there 5 times on my own, not any working trips. The whole country is so beautiful,relatively inexspensive, and the people are just wonderful. If you go avoid summer it has become one of the really hot destinations. my first trip was in 1990(it was still communist). Then 3 trips in the mid 90's to bring in aid and supplies to the refugees living in train cars at an abandoned train station and toys for orphans before Christmas during the war there.My last trip was last October with my husband, I had talked so much about the place he said he just had to go there. He loved it too.Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Split,are not to be missed. Also just over the border in Bosnia try to go to Medjugorje (very spiritual) and Mostar, to see the famouse bridge and the old city. Croatia has rebuilt and is more beautiful than ever. In Bosnia you still see bullet holes in buildings but it is very charming despite that. So I hope you go, you will not regret it. I love your column I can relate to all of your articles

Aug 28th 2008 10:32AM I'm a retired flight attendant.I flew for 35 years and as soon as I turned 55, that was it. It was a great career and I would miss all my friends , but after 9-11 I was ready to go.I remember thinking as I laid in my bed that night ...."NO MORE RECURRENT TRAINING" !

May 10th 2008 2:27PM I too am a retired Flt. attendant, who flew International for my last 10 years.What the other Flt. attendants have said here, all of it is true. What we had to do when people messed the bathrooms aboard flights: to keep the germs away from everyone else onboard we would pour vodka on all the infected areas including the toilet seat then dry with paper towels. Oh yes! we were wearing plastic throw away gloves always. We had one aircraft that constantly went back and forth to Europe, after level off and beginning our duties we all, most of 13 Flt. attendants would get sore throats and flu symtoms. we would get to our destination and be sick in bed the whole time, and then have to fly back to the US sick.upper respitory problems are major for flight crews.I think your article is bad, I usually like your writing, but not this one.
