Bacony Spinach Goodness {Slashfood}

Dec 10th 2007 1:34PM That actually does sound kind of delicious. I just bought some bacon yesterday (yum!) so I'll have to try this out.

Tuesday Happy Hour: Christmas Cookie Cocktail {Slashfood}

Dec 4th 2007 8:48PM Oh yummm ..

While I can't see myself having too many (or really, even more than one) of these, they still sound absolutely delicious.

Pecan tassies for the holidays {Slashfood}

Nov 30th 2007 11:45AM These have a name?!

Hahaha, my mother's been making these since before I was born -- these are the fist Christmas cookies I ever learned to bake. I love them! The only difference, I think, is that my mother doesn't use cream cheese in the crust; I'm pretty sure it's all butter, haha. Maybe I'll try making them this way this Christmas.

New York City home to the newest most expensive dessert {Slashfood}

Nov 10th 2007 12:53PM There's also a diamond bracelet encircling the bottom of the glass. Not kidding.

I refuse to rant about Serendipity anymore. I already did so on Serious Eats.

Tater Ware: Potatoes change the way we look at carbs and coffee lids {Slashfood}

Oct 19th 2007 6:45PM Didn't Marissa write about something similar very recently? Still, a very cool idea. =)

Just in time for orange season {Slashfood}

Oct 5th 2007 2:20PM I don't know if the nutritional value of the pith is true, but I do know that my grandfather used to do the same thing and told me that it was good for you, and I still eat it to this day. It never fails to get strange looks! =)

Making gnocchi by feel on Cookthink {Slashfood}

Sep 27th 2007 12:44AM I've made gnocchi before - a friend of mine mentioned a recipe offhand to me once. It's a little less specific than the one Brys has, but just as easy. I will say, though, that using a mixer to make the dough first is probably a good idea; the couple of times that I've made gnocchi, I've done it by hand, and it always takes at least an hour to mix together and not stick together. It's definitely worth it, though =).

Food Porn: Watermelon Steak {Slashfood}

Aug 10th 2007 11:37AM Marcel did a watermelon "steak," but he didn't cook it.(He won that Quickfire with it, too.)

Talking Travel with Anthony Bourdain {Gadling}

Aug 7th 2007 1:53PM Haha - to the commenter who asked if he's married, he is, and just recently had a baby girl. That said, I also love the show, and while I'm sorry I missed most of the first season, I'm hopelessly addicted this time around and love everything about Anthony. Last night's episode on New York - my hometown as well - gave me three or four new places I have to try out.

Breakfast: Savory or Sweet? {Slashfood}

Aug 6th 2007 9:38AM I'll eat almost anything for breakfast, savory or sweet. I just want JimLad to explain what "soss, fried slice, black pudding, mushies, [and] bubble" are in his breakfast list, lol.
