Plane Answers: What preparation does a pilot do prior to a flight? {Gadling}

Oct 13th 2009 11:31AM John,

You can't entirely blame the crew for tarmac delays. If all components of an airport function correctly, then and only then will there be no delays. Unfortunately sometimes these airport components disfunction because of human nature and mother nature.

Then again. It is true most crew members would rather get paid then sit around waiting.

The $10 airline peak "surcharge" is here to stay {Gadling}

Oct 8th 2009 7:05AM Shhh! You shouldn't have said that. They're probably monitoring these comments.
Damn, it's probably too late already. By next week they'll have a weekend-travel fee. At latest by next month.

Aug 31st 2009 4:54PM I find it ridiculous what M$ is being forced to do by the EU. It's not like phones running Symbian are required to have different web browsers upon first use, or any other software for that matter.

Unaccompanied minor told to drink coffee by Northwest Airlines employee - gets sick {Gadling}

May 6th 2009 4:50AM Unless that kid is allergic to caffeine that coffee was a great option. I'm sure she didn't feel tired anymore.

Delta to charge $50 for second checked bag on international routes {Gadling}

Apr 21st 2009 4:04PM Holy sh*t, this can't be real, how are you supposed to carry all your clothes and gifts back in one bag when traveling for 4 weeks?
If this was just Delta, it'd be fine, but this also means Northwest will be implementing this after the merger. Seams really weird though since they offer two 70 pound bags for flights to asia.

Galley Gossip: The flight attendant was a mess! {Gadling}

Apr 16th 2009 1:52PM I always go to the back and ask/get it myself instead of stopping a walking and working FA or pushing the call button.
Those call buttons are stupid anyway. Can't people walk to the galley?
Well, maybe when the seatbelt sign is on, but that also means it's partially unsafe for FA's to walk around.
