Aug 2nd 2010 9:41AM I do understand and appreciate the idea between points 1-3, but to me they also reek of entitlement and unfriendliness. If you're so opposed to a stranger sitting next to you, buy two seats.
That stranger has to sit next to someone, and it's probably every bit as uncomfortable for him/her. So why go to such extremes to make yourself appear an undesirable seatmate? I have complete empathy for the person who'd rather sit next to me than someone who just got released from prison.

Sep 12th 2009 4:13PM I suspect that many of folks voting for the "yes" options are doing so because they would not want to be seated next to this passenger. This is understandable, but incorrect. SWA policy is quite clear. The customer was able to put the armrest down, and isn't infringing on the adjacent seat.
