The best and worst school cafeterias {That's Fit}
Oct 18th 2007 12:27AM i also feel that quality of the food shud also be in consideration when inspecting cafeterias. also proper ventilation shud go into consideration for cafeteria cleanliness. in my elemtary school, i hated eating lunch in there b/c my food always tasted like the smell of the food that was being cooked that day, and the smell never went away, even when the cafeteria was vacant. sometimes the smell almost made me sick.
Time to Say Farewell to Wahoo {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Oct 17th 2007 10:23PM there was a similar debate like this in my area. there was a debate whether a high school, in the town next to me, shud keep their team's name indians. i've also heard that people want to change the team name of the cleavland indians and the cincinatti reds. the native americans also dont like that we've named some states after their tribes (ie oklahoma, the dakotas). they feel offended with things being named after them. i dont find anything offensive about naming things that have to do with any culture, just as long as they dont represent anything bad. there's nothing negative about states or names of sports teams, but i respect the native american's opinion.
Alcohol monitoring bracelet hits the runway {Stylelist}
Oct 13th 2007 2:26AM i'd like to know the author's opinion on this statement. she doesn't state it in her article. i'm curious.
Alcohol monitoring bracelet hits the runway {Stylelist}
Oct 13th 2007 2:22AM Pat in comment 18...just want to let u know that they do put warning labels on most liquor bottles.
any way, alchohol moniter or ankle purse, it's ugly and not fashionable. i'd rather wear an old rag than that!
Alcohol monitoring bracelet hits the runway {Stylelist}
Oct 13th 2007 2:06AM btw, if u look at that picture closly, u will see that the model is obviously having trouble walking with that thing on. she shudn't be wearing high heels with that thing on. btw, is that thing functional while wearing it for fashion? if it is, this bracelet cud lessen the numbers of drunk drivers on the roadways. all the resturaunt/bar employees have to do is look at it to see the intake of alchohol the person drank to prevent them from driving. but i know no one is gonna wanna wear that thing. if someone really wants to wear that as a fashion statement, they might as well commit a crime and be sentenced to house arrest. any way, that's how they cud get one for free.

Alcohol monitoring bracelet hits the runway {Stylelist}
Oct 13th 2007 1:50AM this is the first i've ever heard of this. my local news station states all the newest fashion trends and they did NOT mention the monitoring bracelet. it'll look great for a halloween costume, but c'mon people, do u think people are actually gonna be walking down the street wearing that?
San Francisco mayor takes on ... bottled water? {BloggingStocks}
Jul 12th 2007 1:35AM i dont think bottled water should be banned. if the mayor is that worried about water being wasted, he should make a requirement that any old water in a bottle should be given to plants, even if it's just grass. i give my old bottled water to plants all the time. Another thing that mayor should do is put recycling bins around the city so the bottles can be recycled rather than thrown in the garbage. in new york state, it's required to recycle your trash. btw, i cannot believe that mayor banned plastic bags. it's not plastic bags that need to be banned, it's paper bags b/c those are made out of trees, and many people just carelessly thrown them out, rather than reuse them.
Teen discovers cleaner water in toilet than fountain {That's Fit}
Jun 24th 2007 10:14PM i have heard studies that have suggeste4d that toilet water is cleaner than many other things. the kitchen sink is the dirtiest place b/c all of people's germs get in there when they leave the plates sitting there for a while, and also many people put packaged raw meat in the ktichen sink to avoid the harmful germs from the raw meat from getting on the counter. and one other note, the 5 second rule is now the 30 second rule. but of course, i only eat things off the floor if they fall in my house, not on any other surface.
Moszkito Diamond Flip Flops {Luxist}
May 19th 2007 12:17AM i have more money than you, you are right, these flip-flops are an example of what rich people waste their money on. i think the diamonds on the flip-flops look ok, but chances are they will become detached. wear and tear may also contribute to detachment of the diamonds. Also, these flip-flops are just another fashion accessory; they're not to be worn at the beach. so technically, these shoes aren't worth the money to be spent on. if u think about it, it is a rip-off, cuz since the diamonds are on shoes, they'll get dirty and may fall off, and sometimes without u realizing it.
