Jul 12th 2009 12:49AM Crandall---I don't pretend to know from what PLANET you're getting your "statistics" from, but they are FAR from CORRECT! The only "experience" in "government" that "Osama" Obama had, prior to becoming President, was the (less than) two years he "served" as the Democratic Senator from Illinois, and THAT, in and of itself, is a MISNOMER, since WHILE he was "Senator", he did not VOTE on ANY of the legislation that came before the Senate! Rather, he merely indicated that he was "present"! WOW!...What a COMMITMENT to his JOB and the "PEOPLE" who PUT him there! Now THAT'S MY idea of a person who needs to be our "saviour"!
His only prior experience at ANYTHING that even REMOTELY involved a "leadership" position was the time he spent as a "community organizer" (a.k.a.: INSTIGATOR/RABBLE-ROUSER (Look it up!)/TROUBLE-MAKER)!

However, I don't for ONE MINUTE believe that it "took them that long" to figure out what happened...rather, I'd imagine that it is more an attempt to stifle "speculation" by the illustrious "MEDIA BONEHEADS" who're slithering around the Department, etc.....ANYWAY, as you stated, it doesn't GET much more dangerous than THAT! ;-)

Jul 9th 2009 4:13AM titansrick27---Permit me another "observation" if you will: In "computer-speak", it is an accepted fact that "Typing in ALL CAPS is the equivalent of a "raised voice", a.k.a. "shouting".
It has long been my experience as a passenger on this rock, that as a general rule, those who speak the LOUDEST, generally have the LEAST TO SAY...(yawn...get over yourself...you are certainly entitled to your view, but don't try to force it down the throats of fellow "readers/commenters").

Jul 9th 2009 4:09AM warren---While I agree, at least "in context" with what you've espoused, your assessment of the situation makes you sound "bitter" or "judgemental" not to ME, but to those whom I can only guess that you would hope to reach with your "assessment".
It's my carefully considered opinion that while it is certainly your "right" to MAKE an "assessment", it is not within your realm of "expertise" to effectively reach those who are "lost", with what can only be "read" or "interpreted" as a "R.A.N.T."! (Just an observation, not an "admonition"...)

Jul 9th 2009 4:00AM cheeryb34---You are obviously yet another who has the proper view on the issue...while it is INDEED SAD, it was CERTAINLY an "avoidable" tragedy! Had he been at home, where he belonged, the entire situation would have never presented itself...my heart goes out to his wife and children (and the rest of his extended family), as well as to the survivors of the young Ms. Kazemi.
