This was very revealing: What if this happened to the Titanic? One moment there was nothing seen in front or beside the ship, then an iceberg which was of no consequence earlier, suddenly rolls over and its sharp sides jut out, scraping and endangering the Titanic, leaving no room for the ship's escape.
Why does it take years for scientists, geologists and NASA to figure out this simple and logical answer?

Nov 7th 2010 9:19PM Amonia mixed with water works best. It cuts the wax buildup on shower glass and tile.
Use a form of soft body soap when showering. It will not build up on glass and tile, as will bar soap which seems to build a waxy coating on things.
Use a wide squeegy in the shower to clean the walls and doors after you shower. Then you can go for months and months with no build-up. If the kids don't want to help by doing it, make them clean the showers as their weekly chores! A friend got me started doing this, and I only had to spray a disinfectent in the shower, once a week, without having to scrub.
If you are going to use towels, remember not to put softener in the washer. Softener will not help you to keep your hand wash kitchen glass ware clean. It will add streaking to glass. Also, softener will make the towels soft, but they will not help you to absorb water from your skin after showering.
Lastly, don't forget when washing your windows on the inside, move your hand from left to right on the glass. Then, on the outside, move your hand up and down. This way, you will be able to tell which side has leftover streaking, if any!

Anyone who has had pets and children, who were loved dearly and lost them, is hurt by your horrible remarks, what you call "jokes". Sep 4th 2009 10:33PM I did not want to watch Charles Gibson after I saw that he was not gracious with some of his guests. He showed partiality and anger to some whose spirit was kind and gentle. He tried to embarrass a guest, and make her feel inferior. He was definitely on the attack, and this person was kind and intelligent, gentle in the interview and had good morals. But Charles was mean spirited. I was shocked at his behavior. I lost respect for him, immediately.

Jun 5th 2009 3:26AM I feel so horrible for anyone who has lost a goal and dream, due to anyone's fault. It is crushing. It is embarrassing. It is humbling. It also teaches us wisdom. I have lost a lot due to illnesses, divorce, auto accident, and sometimes spending more and not saving less. Due to misfortune I today do not have a home or savings. I live on disability with a lot of pain. I used to feel worthless and think I failed. Now I see I have not failed. I may in a better position than many of my friends who are losing a home I didn't have. Who have lost thousands in a savings I didn't have. Who invested in businesses or co-signed notes, which I could not afford. I am not embarrassed at my class reunions any more because my classmates were the haves and I was a havenot. Little did I realize there would come a day when the words "blessed are the poor (in spirit).." would apply to me. I am thanking God for my station in life. With it comes peace, and restful sleep. People all through life looked down on the poor. Today they look up. I pray for those who go through the school of hard knocks. We will be rewarded later.. maybe not with things, but with wisdom, compassion and mercy. God bless.

I think we have lost our country's formal English. Many conversation contain 4 letter swear words used as regular verbs or nouns now, which only hateful, angry, ignorant people used to say. Pornographic language commonly spoken by our young people even when joshing with each other.
I have more complaints; but the more I think of the sloppy language, attitudes and appearances we are seeing now, the more angry I become. Good night all.

Mar 26th 2007 12:34AM I have seen some comments concerning the Jehovah's witnesses.
I am a Christian, not a member of the Jehovah's witnesses. However, I spent 6 months studying with many jehovah's witnesses, just to see what they believed. I have their books. I went to a hall meeting. I attended a huge conference.
I tested their beliefs. I then went to the Holy Bible, not their new world translation; that translation IS their bible, tho they carry the King James around. I wanted to have the exact verses to bring to the witnesses meeting with me every week.
I found their basic doctrines AGAINST the Holy Bible. I posed questions to those who came to my house each week after I found the Truth in the bible. They always had answers contrary to our Scriptures.
First, the witnesses do not believe Jesus is God.
Yet, "Doubting Thomas" who said he would not believe the claims that Jesus had risen and had spoken to the disciples, said he had to touch Jesus' wounds in order to believe. Jesus again appeared to the disciples and now with Thomas. After touching Jesus' wounds, Thomas bowed down and said, "My Lord and My God".
Jesus did not correct Thomas. Jesus could have said, "no I am not God, only your savior". In bowing down and claiming "my Lord and my God", Thomas was worshipping Jesus.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach one should not worship Jesus. But all who did, were never told by Jesus to correct their worship of Him. When some people bowed down to Jesus' disciples, or to an angel that appeared, then the people were told, "I am only a messenger", or "we are mere men, get up and do not worship us" and to instead, "worship God".
If Jesus was not truly God, why then was Jesus crucified? The Bible says He is God. The Jews of that day and Romans crucified Him because He Himself claimed to be God.
Just about everyone will believe Jesus never lied; The non-radical Muslim's I have talked with even believe Jesus was a special prophet and was truthful, was good, honorable and filled with Love.
Jesus did not lie about others; He would not have lied about Himself. If He said He was God, then He told the truth, and we should believe Him.
Next, maybe the exact word "trinity" is not mentioned explicitly in the bible. But the concept is there. (The concept of the Rapture is there too, but the word is not found in the bible.)
"Elohim" in Genesis is plural, yet is also defined as one. God Himself said, "Let US go down and see..." "Let US create man in OUR image." Of whom could God have been speaking?
Jehovah's witnesses say God is speaking about the angels, but this is incorrect -- God did not make man in the image of angels. They were a separate creation.
Jehovah's witnesses say erroneously that Jesus was created, calling Him the firstborn, meaning He was the first created.
But in the bible, where it is described as Jesus being called the first born, the context describes His resurrection. He was the first born of anyone rising from the dead. And those who believe in Him will follow Him, in a resurrected body. He is also called the first born meaning the first heir, the first of many "brothers", who has authority. We who are born again are now considered as children of God, and heirs with Jesus of all God has prepared for us in heaven, the bible says.
Jehovah's witnesses say all believers can never live with Him (Jesus)... only the 144,000 are allowed that privilege to be in heaven. All others will have to live on earth. These statements are incorrect. Jews who come to accept Jesus as their Messiah, along with gentile believers, even know that the 144,000 are Jewish believers who will become disciples during the great tribulation.
The bible states that because we are joint heirs with Jesus, we will live WITH Him, finally seeing Him as He is in all His Glory. The Bible also says we will reign with Him, and that God does not show favoritism, meaning some believers will be in heaven with him, while other believers will live elsewhere. ALL believers will live with Him. He promises this to ALL believers.
Jehovah's witnesses said over and again in the past, Jesus was to come on certain dates. In reality, He did not come any any of the dates they predicted. They made prophesies, and they goofed royally. When I asked the J.W. leader at my house why they made such bad mistakes about His second coming, I was told, "He did come. He came invisibly".
The Bible states that all shall see him coming. No one will have to say, look over here, or look over there. As He left this earth, in the same way He will return. The disciples were specifically told this.
Jehovah's witnesses say when the end comes, the earth will not be burned up. They say the earth will be rejuvinated after evil disappears. It will re-grow. Plants, land, waters will become pure again because there will be no sinners to pollute our land. This is another big error in their teaching.
The Bible states that in the end, heaven and earth will pass away by fire, they will melt, and a NEW HEAVEN AND EARTH will be made. It does not say they will "be rejuvinated".
Again, back to the Trinity -- There are only 3 things in all creation that are holy. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. And the Spirit is not a breath or a power as the witnesses say. The Spirit is described in the Bible as a HE. A power cannot be lied to or grieved. But a person can be. A "HE" is described by all nations and their languages as a male person. Not an IT.
Again, the Bible also says about Christ's diety, that "ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD resides in Christ Jesus". It does not say part of God's qualities reside in Jesus. Or some of. Or a few of. It says "all the fullnes of God". If what God is, is in Jesus, then Jesus is of the Godhead.
God says there can be no gods before or above God, or equal to Him or after Him. Then why did God Himself say that it pleased Him (God) to have all His (God's) fulness reside in Christ? All means all. Therefore Jesus is equal to God.
This includes the Eternality part of God. Eternal is forever existing. Not temporarily existing. Not once not existing then suddenly existing. The Jehovah's witnesses do not believe this.
Jesus was told by God Himself, to sit at the right hand of God. Right hand means equal in Holliness, and equal in authority. Equal in essence.
Together with all the fullness of God living in Jesus, where is the problem about worshipping Him?
Hebrews in the Bible says God was speaking to and "about the Son He (God) says, 'Your throne O GOD, will last for ever and ever'.." In other words, God said to God. The Father God was declaring a fact to Jesus God.
The bible says in Revelation, where Jesus is speaking (for you who dispute, see the Red Ink in the King James Version) "I am the Alpha and the Omega" says the Lord GOD, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the ALMIGHTY."
There is the Diety of Christ, again. BUT, the Jehovah's witnesses say only God (the Father) is the Almighty, and Jesus is only the Mighty. Go figure -- the above states Jesus Himself calls Himself the ALMIGHTY.
Jesus calls Himself the Redeemer and Savior and Creator. God calls Himself the Redeemer and Savior and Creator. They plus the Holy Spirit were together in the beginning of Genesis. God the Father, God the Word, and God the Spirit.
See, the Jehovah witnessess go round and round, but the bible tells the truth.
One last thing (and I have many more I studied), that I want to say is,
If anyone who is a Jehovah's witness stops reading their documents and/or attending their meetings, they will be disfellowshipped.
I asked and was told if one wanted to sit alone with the King James Bible, with God, and reads only the King James Bible (remember, its the one they carry along with their New World Translation) and asks God "Please, help me. I want to know the truth. I want a one on One teaching from You", what will happen to that witness?
I was told he or she would be disfellowshipped.
Now, I ask. What would Jesus say? Would God disfellowship anyone who deeply desired to sit down at His feet, asking for personal teaching? Lazarus' sister Mary did just that, and she was honored by Jesus.
So it seems that the witnesses' documents are revered and "worshipped" above the Holy Presence of God Himself.
So who would you want to trust?
