What Movie(s) Have You Walked Out Of? {Cinematical}
Mar 5th 2010 7:54AM I forgot!! My mom made us leave Superman II right before the ending because a fight broke out in the theater. I think it was more than 20 years before I finally saw how it ended.
What Movie(s) Have You Walked Out Of? {Cinematical}
Mar 5th 2010 7:50AM The only movie I ever walked out on was What About Bob. Annoying annoying annoying movie. I don't know who I hated more, Bill Murray or Richard Dreyfus.
School Bans Parents from Wearing PJs at Drop Off {ParentDish}
Feb 19th 2010 10:33PM I am so glad that this school took a stand about this issue. It may seem trivial, but honestly, what are you teaching your children if you leave the house in your pajamas? I would have been mortified if my mother did that with me. Have some self respect and throw on some clothes! Why should we all have to look at (and perhaps smell) you. I don't care if you are a stay at home mom or go to work later in the day. I am a stay at home mom and I take a shower and get dressed before going out of the house in the morning. Stop using your kids as an excuse for your appearance and take some pride in the way you look and for God's sake stop wearing pjs in public!!!!
Worst Fashion Fads of All Time {Shopping Articles Blog}
Feb 26th 2009 12:35PM Fanny packs and stirrup pants had to be THE worst fashion trends in the '80s. My aunt used a fanny pack as her everyday purse and it embarrassed me to be seen with her and that god awful clunky thing around her waist. I knew a lot of girls who wore stirrup pants in high school and I just never got the trend. They looked ridiculous with their socks over their pants. Why would anyone do that???
Uma Thurman, this is the captain speaking: Please sit down {Gadling}

Duggars to get reality show {ParentDish}
Sep 19th 2008 6:17PM The Duggars really creep me out. The mom and the daughters always have that fake perma-smile on their faces. No one is ALWAYS that happy. The boys don't bother me as much, but the dad creeps me out a bit ,too. I don't think outsiders should have a say as to how many children they have, but I don't think it is fair for them to rely on their older children to take care of the younger ones. The older kids don't have a say in the matter of whether they will bring another child into the house. I remember on the Today Show when the parents announced to their children on live TV that they were having another baby and from the expression on some of the kids faces (even though they had that perma-smile plastered on) they didn't appear all that happy.
Elle MacPherson lets son ride on handlebars {ParentDish}
Sep 19th 2008 9:03AM My brother in law rode a bike with my nephew sitting on the handle bars. The front tire of the bike hit a rock and the bike was stopped in its tracks but flipped over (forward) because of the momentum they had picked up from the speed at which they were riding. My nephew ended up at the ER with multiple injuries after he was thrown from the bike landing on his face and head on the street. He is okay now, but what a stupid thing to have done. The whole ordeal could have been avoided if he hadn't been riding with him on the handle bars.
Doctor reprimanded for secret sterilization {ParentDish}
Aug 13th 2008 11:07AM There is a lot of missing information here. I am assuming that if the doctor was afraid that the woman's uterus would burst if she had another pregnancy that tells me that she had had many other children. Also a lot of you commented on the fact that the patient had "learning difficulties." I didn't read that in the article.
The doctor was wrong in not revealing what she had done. However, I think she was thinking of the best interest of the patient. What I would like to know is how it was found out that she had performed the tubal ligation.
PBS to cut Mister Rogers' Neighborhood! {ParentDish}
Aug 8th 2008 10:29AM Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood is an excellent program even if it is a bit outdated (clothing styles, decor, etc.) but what Mr. Rogers taught children is still true today. Treat others as you would want to be treated. Be polite and respectful. Don't be afraid to be yourself because you should be proud of who you are. These are important lessons for everyone to learn.
Jon and Kate - Are they good enough parents for TV? {ParentDish}
Jul 27th 2008 3:57PM I have watched the show because I am amazed at how anyone can survive raising 8 children with 6 of them being the same preschoolers. Kate can be pretty harsh with Jon and the kids, but I guess I might be too if I were in her shoes. I think it can be very stressful.
When I first started watching the show I thought the twin girls were very bright and sweet. Lately, however, I feel like they are getting a little bratty and seem to be a bit obnoxious. That bothers me a little bit. I don't know if they are getting it from Kate and Jon's bickering or if it is because of all the attention their family is getting from being on TV.
