Jun 13th 2010 2:34PM Another thing I'd add for the kids: breastfeed. If a baby is breastfed, doing so on descent is a lifesaver! It's more effective than sucking on a bottle or pacifier because it typically requires a stronger suck (and more movement in the jaw), and nothing soothes a hurting or fussy baby better than nursing. Unfortunately I know tons of breastfeeding moms who are reluctant to nurse on planes due to a few awful incidents making the news....please don't forget to include a little encouragement for them in pieces like this. A few kind words go a LONG way!

Mar 29th 2007 1:09PM Continental still serves meals in coach if you're flying during a typical meal time. Nice to get something more than peanuts without having to pay extra for it!

This is simply not true. Many airlines have outlets at each seat, some even equipped to handle multiple voltages and plugs. Most US carriers, however, do limit these to First, Business, and select seating in coach.
