Chinese Police Close Hilton, Allege Prostitution {AOL Travel News}
Jun 24th 2010 10:15AM They have such high morals than why do they kill some of the rarest animals on earth saying (lying) it is for reasearch? Japan and it's people are responsible for almost all whale deaths, and I don't even want to think about how many dolphins they kill every year. It's disgusting. And the Chinese kill thousands of sea horses to treat impotence? Please these people are a few short of a bushle. They have one ore in the water. When I think of Japan I think of the "friendship" metals they sent the US right before they bombed pearl harbor. And how they treated people on the bataan death march. Some morals there!
Why Liberals Are Right to Refuse to Honor the Confederacy {Politics Daily}
Apr 12th 2010 12:45PM People forget that the north was being inundated with immigrants. What to do with a bunch of people when there aren't enough jobs or provisions? Why not send them to fight. The union had more casualties but they won because they kept sending the people who stepped off the boat. Coincidence right? Interesting how immigration laws came into effect after the Civil War. But no, we had a war to put the southern evil-doers in their place because they were torchering and killing all these innocent people. If you believe that then I guess you believe we had the Iraq and Afghanistan wars because the Iraquis and Afghanistan people are evil, and they are all terrorists, and if we don't kill them, they will kill us.
Massucci's Take: Can a fat tax fix our health care system? {Daily Finance}
Dec 10th 2009 1:23AM I totally agree, the fast food chains and food industry is what is making us unhealthy. They make unhealthy foods cheap and healthy food expensive! And they go out of their way to hide how unhealthy the food is, and they control all of the law making in their industry. This is the real root of the problem. You want to know where the corruption is it's the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and the food companies they all contribute to a sick cycle they have us all cought up in and they are making Billions of dollars for it.
Why One Veterinarian Quit, Disgusted With a Profession He Once Revered {Pawnation OLD}
Dec 10th 2009 1:10AM You think it's bad how humans treat animals. There are thousands of humans alive in LTAC (long term acute care) units in hospitals and heath care residences that have suffered TBIs (traumatic brain injuries) that are alive, but only their brain stem functions, so they can breath and their heart beats, but there is nothing going on. They are esentially drug addicts because they get a scheduled dose of adivan (a sedative) or some other sedative to keep them from screaming or hurting themselves. Why are these people kept alive? When the person has the traumatic accident, the family doesn't want to let go, and says to Dr.s to "do all they can do", but they are unable to fathum the consequences. After about a year or two in a vegitative state, there is no family to be found. Why because this person is basically dead. We need to learn to let go and stop being afraid of death. We are making other people and animals suffer with our inability to let go. Selfishness really.
Ikea's heart of darkness: A tale of racism, lies and Swedish meatballs {Daily Finance}
Nov 16th 2009 3:42PM I don't have an IKEA where I live, but I went to the one in Orlando, FL, which is enormous, and all I could think is that the store was full of nothing but crap that people don't need, and all of it is going to end up in a landfill because it looks like it is made so cheeply. Shop at smaller family owned stores, and look for good quality that will last you a life time, purchase what you NEED, not what you want, or what catches your eye.
Stereotypes of Tourists, from a British Perspective {Gadling}
Jan 25th 2007 8:45PM I don't consider myself a great traveler. However, on my honeymoon I notice a great paradox to this theory. I firmly believe that just as there is good and bad in every race and gender, that there is also good and bad in all nationalities as well. My husband and I went to St. Lucia, we witnessed rude, fat, ugly americans, and then there were very pleasant americans. We also witnessed rude, unpleasant, british travelers, and some wonderful ones, so there was a stark contrast between people that came from the same country. I think it has to do with how you are raised. So, if you don't like rude, unpleasant, ugly people, teach your children to be kind, humble, polite, and respectful. Liza
