Ricki Lake Sued For Starting House Fire {PopEater}
Jun 12th 2011 7:28PM It was an accident! I am sure Ricki feels bad but you would expect insurance to cover this. Another example of people trying to take advantage of another-bet there is an "ambulance chasing lawyer" involved in this somewhere!
Grey Ant Tevas and Jil Sander Birkenstocks: Would You Wear Them? {Stylelist}
Jun 3rd 2011 6:32AM Both cute, neither look that comfortable but the platform more so than the heel. Both prices out of my pocketbook range-I am just too practical to spend that much on a shoe.(really-how much can these cost to make anyway?) Bigger priorities in my life than $300-$500 shoes! I will wait for the knock-offs!
Feline Self-Confidence Fail {Pawnation OLD}
May 10th 2011 11:14AM This cat is also overweight which doesn't help its agility
Teen Arrested For Having Permanent Marker at School {Just So You Know}
Jan 2nd 2011 6:21PM If he acrually wrote on the desk he deserves punishment but not to be arrested! What a stupid law. By the way. the markers pictured are not broad=tipped so if he used those-he's OK!
Top ten overrated U.S. travel destinations/attractions {Gadling}
Oct 17th 2010 3:24PM Well, to each his own I say. I happen to love Vegas-and yes there is great food to be had if you are willing to spend some cash and Jersey Boys is the best show I have ever seen. Lots of places to visit nearby as well-try a helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon and not be awe-struck or just a ride over the new bridge by the Hoover dam. I also love walking the boardwalk and people-watching at Atlantic City. Neither of these places is just about gambling. Waikiki beach is gorgeous and worth a look and a stroll along the water for sure to see a beautiful view of Diamond Head. If you are fun loving, family oriented, Orlando could be for you even though it is crowded and the parks are so over-priced. At least you won't be looking for something to do or listening to "Mommy-I'm bored!" So, don't let the list dissuade you-make your own decisions based on what you like to do!
American Airlines to remove free blankets - wants $8 to keep you warm {Gadling}
Feb 10th 2010 6:43AM To the contrary-most airlines charge for checked luggage now-not just AA. What I would like to know is where did all the money the airlines used to pay to travel agencies as commision go since now they pay us a big fat $0 now (but we still have to sell their product.) The first year or so after agencies' commisions were eliminated, the airlines all posted big profits (makes sense if your "employees" aren't getting paid.) Now they cry the blues, are charging for everything you used to get free as a passenger(what' next-pay toilets?) and are not making any money. I would look a little deeper before I believed that story-somebody is probably taking home big bonuses-sound familiar?
The best and worst return policies of the holiday season {WalletPop}
Dec 27th 2009 5:04PM Sorry-but your return policy on Barnes and Nobel is incorrect, having changed a year ago last September. !4 day s with receipt only, item must be in sellable condition (unread-no broken spines,notes, personilizations, etc.) NO receipt gets you nada-no exchanges even. A gift receipt gets you 90 days to return if item is in sellable condition. Sorry-B&N isn't your upscale library anymore!
Matt Giraud Is Voted Off 'American Idol' {AOL TV: American Idol}
Apr 30th 2009 8:32AM Simon was right about Adam-too theatrical-I see him on Broadway but not as a rock star-too dramatic. It was definitely time for Matt to go-just not consistent in his performances.
Canned over a tuna fish sandwich: Employers use any excuse (and the recession) to lay off workers {WalletPop}
Mar 18th 2009 11:42PM It may seem reasonable to donate outdated food but in this lawsuit happy society, companies can't take the chance of someone getting ill and suing. The food is dated for a reason.It's a sad reality. Regarding the employee-he was wrong and I am sure there were rules in place that he knew and chose to ignore. You can't pick and chose what policies you are going to break because you don't think they are fair. If you want to keep your job-follow the rules of the employer-that is what you are paid for.
Arizona State Cuts Cheerleading Squad, Was TheDirty.com Responsible? {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}
May 4th 2008 12:55AM Just another example of "no class" This is not funny or cute-it is sad and they will regret it someday when they finally have some common sense.
