Mar 8th 2012 9:27PM My thoughts as well. AS far as this old lady is concerned, there is a time and place for all things and nail varnish should not be done on a flight. The odor from the polish can possible make people sick. The claim that people around her said it was ok does not hold water...what were they to do, tell her NO! She seems to be the spoiled sort that would just have done it anyway...opps wait she did do them anyway.

Feb 27th 2012 10:38PM I don't think that it is just in pro sports that this kind of abuse happens. If someone has that kind of money and does not do things in a wise manner...such as not over extend himself, let bills slide, etc, etc, etc. then they deserve what ever happens to them. It is a lack of personal responsibility and moral values.

Feb 27th 2012 10:34PM No pity from me. He went thru all that money and has nothing to show for it, not even a stack of paid in full notices. Perhaps he should take my SS check and try to live on it...HA HA Yeah sure...can you see him on $799 a month? I only wish........

Feb 17th 2012 9:29PM As a senior citizen myself and also living with one of my adult children, I want to say that I am well cared for and I trust my son with my few assets. I have also given him POA over me in health concerns, financial, etc. In return I have his POA to take care of things wehn he deploys with the military. Another thing we both do...we talk with lawyers once a year to discuss our situation and make decision if we are going to continue our life together. We then execute the new POAs. I also update my will once a year and have let the rest of the kids and grandkids know that should any of them complain about my decisions they will be totally cut off. Only one has voiced her opinion that it is not fair...but sh is in family by marriage only and seems to think that she deserves the little that I have. Sad to say, her kids have the same attitude when it comes to me. Well in a few years when I am gone, they are in for a surprise. I suggest that any senior reading here if they have given a POA to a relative, not to totally trust them and also to insist on an accounting of any assests that they have any control over for you. Also do not be afraid to change you will as needed....

Feb 17th 2012 9:20PM Michael...this is typical behavior of young people today. Ddi you not read that the son is 70 years old himself? There are many of us senior parents that live with an adult and we are well taken care of. I am one of them is how I know.

Feb 2nd 2012 1:57AM I doubt that you would say that ifyou lived here. Eternal summer is not good at all. Remember that everything has to be shipped in to us and as such the prices are something that makes one question their sanity. We are here on Govt. assignment so we have to stay..........for a few more months.

Feb 2nd 2012 1:54AM I am here now and you are so right. What people need to know is that there are homes like that here but he majority of people do not live in them. I pay $3,000 a month rent for a tiny 2 bedroom place with no yard or view. Utility bills just go up every month, no matter how much you use or don't use. I am at the point that I am ready to scream when I hear how lucky I am to live here in paradise. Thank goodness there are only 4 months left in out tour of duty.

Feb 1st 2012 12:17AM Been there and done that. No medical dx on my mother, but she was a bully and it all came out on me, the middle child. Nothing I did was good enough. I raise dmy kids differently, they did see her treatment of me as I did take them on visits a couple of times a year. They have thanked me over the years for not being like her. They also would walk thru fire and flood for me.

Feb 1st 2012 12:12AM It is a different world ok...we also knew that out parents loved us and cared for us as well. Lets not be too quick to judge in this case since we do not and have not lived with him or his family. I will not go into my own family situation. it was bad but we did manage not to make it too public. My mother is gone now so it would be no good to do so. Let it be enough that if my mother needed even a glass of water I would have walked by her after all the crap that I, the middle child, had to put up with. Funny thing, I treated my children very differently and I still have the love, respect and best of all friendship of my four now adult kids.
