Aug 21st 2007 7:43AM Ember - I don't think an American city would lie about our President making a visit to their city. Sometimes, because of security reasons, plans do change at the last minute but to say they "lied" about the weather and/or the President is a rude thing to say. We have all had delays for one reason or another in our lives - you aren't the only one and yes it is frustrating but in the grand scheme of things, there are a lot of people moving about the country in any given day. I'm surprised any of us have flights on time. Yes, I live in Texas and do resent your comment but I'm also from the Midwest and resent your comment about Chicago lying about the weather situation, etc. You sound a bit bitter overall about the travel industry. I'm surprised you're a travel blogger.
World Hum Interviews Rick Steves {Gadling}
Aug 13th 2007 10:14PM I love Rick Steves travel books. We went to France last year and used several of the hotels he wrote about and he was "right on" about everything. That book was in the front seat with me right by my purse for easy references to just about anything. My husband uses a travel bag that he sells and finds it quite handy. For us, he is a wealth of information.
Talking Travel with Anthony Bourdain {Gadling}
Jul 30th 2007 8:56AM I love Anthony's show and watched it all last year. I'm excited about the new season. You are right, he is so honest and up front with people about what tastes good and what doesn't. You can't always tell with some people sampling food on TV if they love it or can't stand it - with Anthony, not so. Good luck to him on the new season - we will be watching.

Apr 27th 2007 2:25AM This plane looks like it is crashing not landing. Are they warning us that planes are crashing in this area? Probably not - I think it is a tow plane for gliders but the sign is not a good sign - it is confusing.

Feb 3rd 2007 5:08AM This is when I would find the nearest drug store and buy a bag of Depends. Going in my own diaper would have to be better than these toilets. I'm not sure where I would change my Depend but it wouldn't be in these bathrooms.

Jan 21st 2007 9:04PM Here in South Central Texas we have Welfare, Texas, and Comfort, Texas. They are right outside of San Antonio out west on I-10 not too far out of town and they are practically next to each other. Now I don't know about you but I'd rather live in Comfort!

I had my first Guiness at a little Irish pub in Chicago last November. My husband was quite surprised when I ordered it as I don't usually even drink beer. I finished almost all of it and I sipped. I didn't know I was supposed to sip but because this was new for me I took it slow. I enjoyed it, would order it again and I would sip like I'm supposed to.
