Sep 7th 2008 12:44PM Not even close to the ole company store... if you don't know how the old stores worked---don't post! The old stores let you buy stuff on credit until payday - at which time you went in and paid your bill...problem was the stuff was so expensive you couldn't afford to pay off everything that visit and carried over plus what you would buy the next time. You could never catch up and the company owed you...HOW, do you relate this to Wal-Mart, purely voluntary, letting their employees take cards
Read the article: It went on to explain in the statement that under the program, "Walmex would put store credit on electronic cards and the employees could contribute a matching amount."
So if Walmex put $10 on the card and you contributed $10...you just made $20. These are cards with credit attached...like a debit card.
Fact is, if Malmex has to stop, they save money. So helping their employees- is what the country is really against!
