Tourist Attractions Around The World: Fact vs. Fiction {Gadling}
Apr 11th 2012 8:58AM You are surprised at what you see versus what you expect.
When I saw the leaning tower of Pisa I was disappointed. The forestry tower back home was taller. But, at least I can say I was there....live in the moment.
Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure Fails To Boost Tourism {BV on Money}
Jul 20th 2011 8:44AM Hit the nail on the head there honey. It's so easy to spout platitudes when you are a billionaire.
"Find your dreams" and crap like that does nothing for the young mom of three, with a ninth grade education, sitting in her trailer with no a/c and nothing to do but watch Oprah.
Rebecca Black Appears on Good Morning America, Talks 'Friday' and Cyberbullying (The One) {Urlesque}
Mar 20th 2011 11:30AM Dear Ms. Black,
You are young, cute, obviously intelligent, and sweet. Keep smiling dear!
Anyone who would write a hateful or hurtful remark is either just some stupid kind or a very immature adult (who probably lives in his mommy's basement).
Enjoy all your good fortune to the fullest. I wish you only the best and please ignore the mean people of the world....they are unhappy and want you to be unhappy with them.
God bless and good fortune!
Mary
High Heels History: Video {Stylelist (Main)}
Mar 16th 2011 9:48AM An important fact was forgotten in this piece.
Platform shoes with heels were also worn because sewage was dumped into the streets during medieval times and heels allowed you to walk a bit above raw sewage; saving the hem of your frock.
Friends: CBS Can Beg, Charlie Is 'Never' Coming Back {PopEater}
Feb 25th 2011 6:07PM Ummmm....does anyone remember Valerie Harper and her show about her family in the 80's. She wanted more money or refused to return to the show. So, she was "killed" in a car wreck (I think it was) and the show returned for several more season's and was very successful without her.
Did Britney Spears Copy Her New Single? {PopEater}
Jan 14th 2011 7:51AM I am agoraphobic (all my life) so I have watched more TV than the average person. I can't tell you how many times I have seen the same story line used over and over in ther last 40 years. It's gotten to the point where I know the ending after watching the first ten minites of the program.
I guess what they say is true "...everything old is new again...".

12 Underrated Actors of 2010 {AOL TV}
Dec 16th 2010 8:03AM I think the kid on "The Middle" who whispers the last of each sentence is the best child actor I have ever watched. He is hysterical and makes the show. Sorry, I am not sure of his name...Atticus something ?
Your Most Memorable Professional Mistakes {AOL Jobs}
Dec 16th 2010 7:26AM I once had a particularly stressful job with a very hateful, non-supportive boss. Just before I finally broke down I did two things that convinced me I was at the end of my rope: I got to work one morning and realized I had two different shoes on (how in the world does this get under your radar?). A few days later I was sitting in a board meeting and realized everyone seemed a bit uncomfortable, especially the men in the meeting. That's when I remember, quite suddenly like a bolt of lightning, that I had forgotten to wear a camisole under my blazer making my attire a bit too racey for "office appropriate". At that moment of realization I could have crawled under the table. Soon after these two events my physician wrote a letter to my employer explaining I needed to quit my job for mental health reasons and I went on disablility and a lot of medication and therapy.
'Whatever' Crowned Most Annoying Word for Two Years Running {Lemondrop}
Dec 16th 2010 6:50AM Could someone please explain why "conversate" or "conversating" did not make the list (these words do not exist), and that no one seems to know the difference between "then" and "than" anymore? Also, "of" is not to be used after the word myriad; as in "There was a myriad foreclosed homes on the market this year".
Just who did they "ax" to judge these words irritating?
