Pawn Mount Rushmore? Petition Calls for Mountain to Be Sold to Cover National Debt {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 23rd 2013 2:34AM Perhaps the U.S. can sell Alaska to the U.K.; becoming another Canadian territory, and sell Hawaii to Japan; since its predominantly filled with Asians anyway -- two worthless states we really don't need. Can we sell Puerto Rico and the Domincan Republic to Mexico or Cuba?

Landlord From Hell Bans Pork, Long Showers, Overnight Guests {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 11th 2013 8:33PM After reading these rules, I would be surprised to hear that someone actually decided to rent from this person; I am absolutely sure it would not end well for the renter, especially when subletting a room. I've watched Judge Judy enough to know the nighmares associated with this sort of rental arrangement.
Member Of Secret Disneyland Club Tells All {Gadling}
Oct 24th 2012 1:02PM Well, my favorite times at Disneyland is during New Years, just an hour before the fireworks to dine in the Blue Bayou, when they had Prime Rib. However, the menu has changed. However, that use to be our family tradition. But yes, I too have to agree that the park has changed a bit over the years, and not as enchanting as it once was before.
Surprise! Chase Is Refinancing Your Mortgage {AOL Real Estate}
Sep 10th 2012 6:56PM While I am not in this position, I did casually inquire to my BofA rep to see if they've been refinancing, and she made it clear that her branch was not doing many refi's. I would be interested to know if BofA will follow through with this sort of pro-active refinancing to many of it struggling customers. We'll just have to wait and see.
Gary Harrington of Oregon Jailed for Illegal Rainwater Reservoirs on His Property {AOL Real Estate}
Aug 13th 2012 5:44PM And what part of PrisonPlanet by Alex Jones does most people fail to believe? For the last 30 years, I've watched incredible changes (for the worse) toward citizens about land use and the laws passed to restrict it. But this water use law was past back in 1925 is a reality check for me; I was not even aware of it until this article popped up...purely incredible.
There are laws now in effect in certain towns and states that prohibit vegetable gardens on private land. Of course, there are laws that prohibit digging wells, pits, trenches, tunnels, etc., underground on private property without permits. Private land owners are quickly losing their ownership and control of all the resources below and above ground on private property.
Air and wind will be next, and the laws will further restrict the use of windmills on private land to the point of a universal Federal Law requiring a permit -- solar panels will then follow, as the more-and-more home begin demanding less of the electrical grid -- the transfer of costs will be transferred to the poor; those that cannot make the transition from public utilities to self-sufficient private power-generators.
Chicago Family Faces Eviction After Questionable House Raid {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 5th 2011 2:52PM I find it criminal that our local law enforcement department has been given so much authority to raid home at-will. No warrant, no notice, and in the dead of night. We have become a nation, believe it or not, heading directly into a new age of Nazi-fascism era social control. Our Leaders have attacked the working class from nearly every angle with outrageous new laws and regulations, putting huge and expensive restrictions on both private homeowners as well as small businesses; making even more difficult to make a decent living.
These fold, whether guilty or not of animal abuse, didn't deserve to be raided as if wanted fugitives or suspected drug making or trafficking criminals. Their rights of private citizens seem to have been violated in a most incredulous manor of law enforcement that I have heard of lately; bordering on outright criminality.
This same thing just happened here in Santa Cruz,CA, to a homeowner and his soon to be expecting pregnant wife, who was a news reporter. The Tactical SWAT team busted through the front door and after about an half hour or so realized they had invaded the wrong house--it was supposed to be the one directly across the street. Don't figure.
Just like the beating and killing of Kelly Thomas, of Fullerton, CA; it actually take the death of a person before, and the outrage of its citizens to enforce a thorough investigation to prove that the Law enforcement was at fault. Otherwise, it is nearly always the side-of-right on to the department; that is, the law enforcement will nearly always be cleared of wrong doing, regardless of how criminal the allegations against them.
For example, in this article of the poor couple, the law enforcement could only find a few property violations, as to indicate that this warranted a RAID?? How outrageous is this. It used to be that a city inspector would make a house call to inspect the property. Now it apparently requires a raid. I am surprised they didn't shoot the old guy for resisting an arrest for failing to move quickly out of bed...you know, a couple pops just for a few more notches on the gun. That, I know, is a bit extreme, but is seems that is where we are heading.
Anyway, for some reason or another, there is a segment of our society that believes this sort of police conduct is justifiable. I for one do not believe it is. What ever happened to investigate first before assuming a wrong? These people did not deserve this type of rude awakening. Oh, and by the way, just think of the cost that was wasted on this SWAT manuver. Who's paying for it?...Chicago tax payers are. How shameful.
Law Enforcement is Out of Control, and they are Virtually Unaccountable for their Actions; regardless of the damage they do. And they believe we are absolutely powerless to do anything about it. Well you can; by writing your congress person and telling them how disgusted you've become about lack of over-sight of an out of control law enforcement practices. They typically respond well to their constituents, especially if enough respond dissatisfied with their work.
Foreclosed Homeowner 'Booby-Traps' Home {AOL Real Estate}
Sep 28th 2011 11:26AM The Banker Bailout, the Government's decision to bail on Billions of $$$ of military equipment and facilities, paid for by American Tax dollars, while withdrawing from Iraq, and still no help for American citizens when it comes to getting help from either banks or government. Then the feds can now raid our homes at will? These are pretty screwed up times to those that are struggling.
This story sounds very similar in style to that of Joseph Stack. When individuals are powerless to defend themselves against insurmountable odds, they react the only why they know how. Our own government has created a bill to attack would-be terrorist.
However, the would-be terrorist are American citizens. HR-3162 was not just written and enacted to defense the U.S. from foreign invaders and terrorist, it was also to protect government and corporate interests from the attack from American "Terrorist" citizens. This "former homeowner," who's name remains anonymous, must have been a terrorist, just like Joseph Stack.
Jackie Evancho Charms Sharon Osbourne All Over Again (Video) {PopEater}
Jun 27th 2011 2:20AM Jackie Evancho exudes real talent. All other reality star "celeb" wannabees don't hold a caddle to this wonderful little girl, including Kim K, Spears, Lohan, Bieber, and Cyrus.
Lindsay Lohan's House Arrest Plan: To Paint {PopEater}
May 27th 2011 12:33PM I really like Lindsey, but house arrest is not the answer to her rehab to reality. I really do want to see her recover, but if the judge is going to continue coddling her, Lindsey is not going to make it out well.
