Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar Walk Off 'View' Set While Talking to Bill O'Reilly {PopEater}

Oct 14th 2010 11:50PM So you think the average viewer of FOX is over 65? That is ridiculous. I am not old and my husband and I watch FOX as most of our friends do, who are not old either. Bury your head in the sand if you want to, but O'Reilly has the largest cable viewership of any cable news program. That certainly means his audience isn't just old people.

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar Walk Off 'View' Set While Talking to Bill O'Reilly {PopEater}

Oct 14th 2010 11:27PM Joy and her ilk want you to be so tolerant of their views, but they can't stand it, or imagine a world where there are views other than thiers. They live in a bubble, thinking their views are the only ones that matter. They acted like children.

High School Strips Transgendered Homecoming King of Title {Lemondrop}

Sep 29th 2010 9:40AM She is a girl. Where has common sense gone? What about the truth here? This person is a girl who wants to be a boy but is NOT a boy. She cannot be homecoming KING because she is a girl!! Transgendered is a fancy name for people who are messed up emotionally and mentally to the point where they reject their gender. But the truth is SHE is a girl and there is no denying that even though in our politically correct society truth has become false and false has become truth...totally messed up!

Dad Who Stormed Bus Apologizes for Some Actions {ParentDish}

Sep 22nd 2010 3:21AM I feel for this father and understand his dilema. My son was bullied at school and I tried to help him deal with it on his own. Then I found out, the bully has hit my son several times and told him he was going to "put him under the ground". He also made comments to classmates that he wanted to "kill his parents". At the point I realized that this was serious and he could really hurt my child, I asked my son's teacher for a conference. She called and said she was busy didn't have much time, what did I need. I tried to explain to her quickly the problem and she showed absolutely no interest in addressing it. She said, well if this is true, why didn't your son tell me. I asked my son when he got home from school why he didn't tell his teacher what was going on, and he said she would say he was tattle telling. The next stop was the principal who acted like we were "overprotective". Remember that my son has been hit by this boy, one time in the corner of the eye and left a deep red mark. The principal brought the boy in to talk to him and he admitted to doing what my son said he did, and even the principal said, yeah we have him in here a lot. Yet still, they did nothing to protect my son and didn't even call his parents to let them know what was going on. Because we went to the principal, his teacher tried to make our son a villan, and even told me he was lying and making it up. She called me one day yelling at me, I couldn't believe how we were being made the villian in this. Thankfully, we were looking to buy a new house and found one out of that school district and got out of there. The truth is, very few schools take bullying seriously.
It will take someone getting badly hurt, before that school thinks it is a problem.

Blue Bell Ice Cream vs. Breyers {Slashfood}

Aug 24th 2010 5:19PM Think some of the comments are comparing apples to oranges. Blue Bell is the BEST hands down if you want a homemade vanilla tasting ice cream. There is no other and I have tried most of them, that has the pure homemade taste that Blue Bell has. Blue Bell also has a lot of other delicious flavors...groom's cake, yummy. I also like Haagen Daz but more for a gourmet type ice cream. And what can beat Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey? But for homemade Vanilla ice cream plain and simple it's Blue Bell! And by the way, New York taste testers, you might come down South sometime and find out we have a lot more to offer that you don't get in New York City.

Best Vanilla Ice Cream: Our Taste Test Results {Slashfood}

Aug 14th 2010 7:18PM If you live in the south, and you had homemade vanilla ice cream as a kid, you know that Blue Bell is the closest anyone can get to homemade vanilla ice cream. There is no better, and Breyer's doesn't even come close.

It's Graduation Season! Herewith, the Awards for Worst Cakes {Lemondrop}

May 22nd 2010 4:20AM The main problem with some of the cakes and a lot of other things is that we have a society of people who do not know how to listen. Of all the educational needs, can't we begin to teach, starting in 1st grade, listening skills? How many times have I placed an order on something or gone out to eat and the order is all wrong. Case in point was tonight. At a restaurant, I ordered a chicken sandwich with vegetable soup. I specifically asked for mustard on the sandwich. I got a sandwich with mayo not mustard. And instead of the soup that I ordered I received cole slaw and fries (didn't order either one). Nobody listens anymore.

Is This 'Single Ladies' Video Too Hot for Tots? {ParentDish}

May 14th 2010 1:19AM Sickening, Scary, Totally inappropriate, are only a few words that I felt while watching this video. Truthfully, it was hard to watch bc we should not be watching little girls dancing in a sexually suggestive way. Really, where are the parents these days? What parent in their right mind would only think of this as "cute"? The outfit and the moves were what you might see in a strip joint. I'm saddened that these girls are being used this way. I'm sure to them it was fun, all the attention, make-up and dancing. But they have the minds of little girls. They don't understand the implications of "who" will be watching them, all the sick perverts out there that will feast on a video like this. Why would a parent want to risk their child that way? This is just wrong.

Spanking Makes Children More Aggressive, Study Shows {ParentDish}

Apr 14th 2010 3:35AM You can't just say there are "countries" in the world where spanking is illegal and their education rate is higher, etc. without giving the least bit of proof. Ridiculous! You sound like this article, a study that is really no study at all. And we've heard the "America is bad" speech one too many times! Go live in those "countries" if you don't like it here. The problem in America is we have overindulged our kids and they lack good parenting. That is what produces the problems in kids today, not spanking.

Spanking Makes Children More Aggressive, Study Shows {ParentDish}

Apr 14th 2010 3:27AM Abuse causes aggressive behavior, spousal abuse, etc. Spanking doesn't. I realize it's more convenient for you to mix it all together but spanking and abuse are completely different.

And these studies, well let's just look at this one. If you think there is any science in it, you need to go back and read the basics of scientific theory. Anyway, anybody can get any study to say what they want.

Spanking is a form of discipline that is needed when a child is defiant and willfully not obeying the rules. A child's will has to be tamed, or we end up with the kids we have in society today that think the world revolves around them and they should be able to do whatever they want.

Spanking is not the only form of discipline but it is one form that used in the right way produces a respectful child who can be a contribution to society.
