Jun 14th 2007 9:18AM It is not only a warning for tram drivers, but for pedestrians -- warning that leaves fall in that particular tram area, and the trams have a harder time stopping when the tracks are covered in leaves. So, pay attention when crossing the street...the tram might not be able to stop. Not a clever response but a factual one.
May 31st 2007 10:57AM Roughly two years ago I was traveling from Orlando to Brussels. I missed my connection due to poor weather in Newark. Missing my connection; somewhere my baggage got lost. I arrived in Brussels late and luggageless. The next day my companion and I were flying from Brussels to Nice. We spent two wonderful days in Cap d'Antibes...still with no luggage. We returned to the airport to fly back to Brussels. At the check-in counter they asked to see our tickets and passports. No matter how far I dug in my carry-on bag I could not find my passport. No luggage and now no passport. Finally the desk agent at Virgin asked me what my name was. I told her, she opened her drawer, and pulled out a plastic baggie...inside was my passport. Apparently it had fallen out of my bag on our flight there and they had held it for me! What a great airline! We returned to Brussels and even claimed my lost luggage, plus a voucher to reimburse me for the clothes I had to buy! So what could have been an absolute disaster and a huge mistake, all ended well.
Feb 7th 2007 1:08PM How about the instructions to fold a dollar like a heart...I know it's a travel blog, but it would be a perfect way to give my young valentine (13 year-old son) a bit of cash to buy what he wants!!!
Jan 19th 2007 6:23PM Matt's video is truly inspiring and beautiful...if you haven't watched it...you should!
Jan 17th 2007 9:45AM My profile was pretty accurate. They made me a little more "outdoorsy" than I really am, but the rest was on target.
Jan 6th 2007 5:47PM Granted, I only have one child. But, I cannot imagine ever leaving him behind. I live in FL and shocked how many times you read about a parent leaving their child in the car, windows closed in the heat of the summer. How can this possibly happen????
