I cannot tell you one single stat about Dan Marino, but I do know that the score of the last game Marino ever played was 63-7. He played one season too long and was defeated terribly in his last game. Had he left the year before I am sure he would be remembered for a lot more than that awful score. Favre may end up the same way if he does not quit while ahead. He already now has the sexting issue (and please don't everyone get all up in arms - I am not saying he did or did not do anything wrong) that people will remember. Had he retired last year that would not have been an issue this year. Sometimes you have to make the difficult decisions; retirement is one of them, but sometimes it is better to retire and be remembered for all the good you did rather than the bad.

Dec 2nd 2010 9:41AM Bob - I am not that naive - actually I was being sarcastic in my comment - I do not believe that the government is listening to conversations or reading e-mails of every day Americans - but you bet your life that the far left does. I believe they are listening to the individuals they suspect are terrorists; those being from Yemen, Iraq, Iran, i.e., the Middle East. But, the liberal media and liberal citizens of this country are so against us targeting anyone who might be or have Muslim connections that the Government has little option but to go after the Americans. Can you imagine the utter chaos at an airport if every Muslim individual was taken aside, profiled and examined before being allowed to get on a plane. The far left would go crazy, but they sure aren't going crazy when this happens to good American citizens now are they. That is the problem. Stop trying to appease the Muslims. It was extreme Muslims who flew those planes into our buildings on 9/11 and extreme Muslims who want to kill us. We need to profile individuals with Muslim ties. It is that plain and simple. And, if someone's feelings get hurt, so be it. Better feelings be hurt than people blown up. And, as far as your remarks that we are no longer free in this country, I don't know about you, but I really have been going on about my life since 9/11 as I did before 9/11 with the only difference being a little hassle when I fly. No one has stopped me from making phone calls, using the internet, going shopping, etc, etc. I live my life just as I did, as a free American. What the hell.

Dec 2nd 2010 8:05AM I have no problem providing this information and do not feel it is a violation of my privacy. I also would not mind giving them my blood type or hair color. The only way to keep us safe when we fly is to profile and to make sure that the people who want to do harm to us are not allowed on flights, either here in the US or those flights orginating elsewhere and coming into the US. Why do people not understand that it is not the 88 year old grandma or the innocent 3 year old blue eyed blond haired American boy who is trying to do us harm. It is the young males from middle eastern countries who believe in Jihad. The only way to stop them is to question their purpose for flying and to profile anyone who looks or seems suspicious. I personally do not care if someone's feelings are hurt. Being politically correct is not going to keep this country safe; profiling will. Sometimes you have to give up a little liberty in order to remain safe. I would rather give up that liberty than be blown to bits while flying because some soft hearted liberal was afraid of offending a group of people who could care less about that soft hearted liberal. The policies enacted by the Patriot Act are meant to prevent terror attacks and if that means that the government might listen to a phone call I make or read an e-mail I send, so be it. I have nothing to hide. However, I really do not believe the purpose of the Patriot Act is to listen to innocent conversations of American citizens - the purpose is to listen to those people the government suspects are part of the terror network hell bent on doing harm to this country. It is a necessary evil, unless you want to see another 9/11 or worse.

Oct 4th 2010 4:26PM Unfortunately, the chief prosecutor secured the picking of those moron jurors by insisting the trial be held in South Central L.A. in the courthouse next door to his office instead of in Brentwood where it should have been held. The chief prosecutor wanted to make sure he would be in a position to walk outside each evening and get in his press conference. For whatever reason, California cannot seem to put forth a decent trial, even when the evidence is overwhelming that the defendant is guilty. You have OJ and Michael Jackson, which are just two trials that ended with tragic verdicts due to incompetent prosecution.

When I was young, my mother instilled in me that you do not make fun of those who are less fortunate, handicapped, disabled, etc. If I had acted on the bus as these children did, I would still not be able to sit down. It is a disgrace the lack of respect individuals have for other individuals today. Respect starts at home.

As a much older woman, Barbara Bush had a much greater sense of style and Laura Bush was extremely stylish, albeit in a very conservative manner. But, to state that this hideous outfit is stylish is too much. My goodness, is the liberal press ever going to stop tripping all over themselves about these two; he is incompetent and she has done nothing compared to other First Ladies.
