Billy Bob Thornton Displays Jerk-Like Behavior {Cinematical}

Apr 9th 2009 12:45PM He's not on drugs here, or if he is it's not the explanation for his behavior. IMO, what happened here is this: BBT had a bug up his ass from the outset for God knows why about mention of his acting career. Ironically, he's probably just trying to help his band rise and fall on their own merits rather than his stardom -- which is admirable if its done for the sake of the other members. He just doesn't realize that 1) he's not much of a box office draw anymore, and 2) the idea that no one would ever mention who he was or his past is unreasonable and unrealistic. As the interviewer mentiond this right out of the gate, BBT pulls his "I don't know what you mean" schtick while trying to figure out a way to respond. He then has the GENIUS idea to to respond to his "tell me about your youth and music" as if the host asked the same question in relation to Hollywood/acting. Wow, what an absolutely brilliant way to stick it to the poor guy doing his best to deal with the unreasonable demands of a egomaniac (and yes, only an egomaniac would pull something like this). F off, you SOB. I'd never buy your albums anyway, and I've always hated your movies, but somehow you managed to sink even lower.

Separation of the airline classes made clear in a photo {Gadling}

Feb 4th 2009 12:07PM That's cute, but is there really much of a first class in a domestic US Airways A320?

Feds spank spankers with arrest {Gadling}

Jan 22nd 2009 1:16PM You just can't win with some people. "Treat her like she treats her kids"? If she disciplines the children, you get snarky comments like this hurled at her - implying she's too harsh, violent, etc. If she does nothing, we'll hear about the annoying children on the flight (mostly likely with a comment about how they need a spanking...).

As a parent of 3, if I fly with my kids, I'll do what I have to out of respect for my fellow passengers. Is it too much to ask for those passengers to have some respect for the parent?

Holiday Travel: We Are All in the Same Boat {Gadling}

Jan 1st 2007 10:38AM So, either no one really read this post, or no one thought to point out that the two of you really WERE in the same boat. He missed his flight, which he had a slim chance to make anyway (10 minutes is nothing in many airports), and you barely made the flight that you thought (according to the available information) you had missed. He barely missed his flight, as you said the doors closed in his face. He needed every available second, and since the doors did indeed close in his face, 30 seconds would have meant the difference between catching and missing the flight.

The bottom line was that you couldn't see past your own interests, and you're pissed that he gets to fly first class and you don't. I'm not a rude flyer, and I make every effort to be considerate (For instance, when in coach, I always check to see if there's a big guy behind me before I recline), and I would likely have let you pass me. But the fact that you're pissed that some person had the gall (From First Class, no less! The nerve!) to remind you that there were other people in this world trying to make a flight leaves me rather cold.

I am actually considering violin lessons, though, as I suspect future posts may need some accompaniment.
