Jul 25th 2011 4:52PM Read any science book and then read it again in 5 years. The scientists will conveniently revise it to fit new information that changes the situation. It is best not to put much stock in a story that quotes scientists. Next week they will say "sorry we didn't have that data at the time". That will make it all fine and now they are sure of the facts only to change it again later.
A more accurate statement should be that we currently think it is not possible but we can only detect certain facts given our observational limits. Soooo it is easy to see they are the politicians in their field always leaving room to squirm out.

Jul 23rd 2011 6:05PM I have heard a lot of the 5 year olds comment on unions. Grow up and get your facts straight. You are right that a few mega-unions went too far but they pale compared to actual wars that were carried out against unions. Google coal miners wars and find out the lengths corporations will go to. I have yet to see a union gun down in cold blood hundreds of corporation executives. Do some reasearch before you make a fool of yourself idiot. Unions defend workers rights as human beings. Turning heaters on union protesters when the union was exercising their legal right smacks of something of the old sweat shop days.

Apr 30th 2011 8:44PM As a biologist and someone that understands evolution, I find it difficult to understand the constant vegan illiteracy issue about eating meat. It is now well known that the evolution of man from early primates was closely associated with the fact that certain early apes ate monkey for protein. They even today rip the arms and legs off monkeys to satisfy the nutritional needs of their large brains. The direct result of this led to man's large brain. The record is clear that only the meat eating branches of the ape family evolved into intelligent later primates showing the falacy in the vegan diet argument. Again I say we just need to keep killing and eating good old meat if we want to remain smart. Just look at the driving and school records of all these whimpy vegans . We should remove them from the planet to make room for more cows.

Apr 30th 2011 8:32PM I look at it more on the religious side. God was kind enough to give me several sharp canine teeth suitable for chewing off hunks of dead animal flesh. I am doing my part to meet my God's wishes by using those teeth to their intended purpose. I say we go out and kill something. We let the lower forms of life live off the dead decaying plant matter and chow down on a nice thick red blooded steak.

Mar 24th 2011 2:52PM Before some idiot calls me a liberal as they often use as an excuse. I hate all politicians. They are all f-ing liars and could care less about safety. Can anyone tell me why we send some of our best and brightest kids off to college and teach them political science (the fine art of lying) and then not expect them to go out and lie when they get a job as our leaders in charge of things like air safety.
They are just doing what they were taught. Maybe if we start teaching ethics rather than how to lie more efficiently we might have a better country.

There were very high standards and then a President changed the whole situation by firing all of the air traffic control people. He didn't like the union demands for shorter days due to fatigue. Oddly enough the name of that President was Regan. Poetic isn't it?

I know this must be hurting the business (mugging) but that nice clean attractive city is fine when you stay just in the hotel. A walk down the street even in daylight will lighten your wallet. I am sure enough tourists will take the bait and keep you in pesos. Not me.

Feb 9th 2011 1:38PM I think we need to all put some monetary support behind our Gay rehab schools they are doing a fine job of converting those sicko types and people like the scientologists. We have turned out some truly impressive Right Wing nut jobs at our camps. Sure we have to hold them down and force feed them brown rice for a couple of weeks and the manual labor can be a bit hard but the end justifies the means any day.
