Families Clamor to Adopt Abandoned Newborn {ParentDish}

Jan 25th 2009 4:59PM Uly-
I think the reason is that attention is brought to this situation on the news, in the paper, etc. The children in foster care, sadly, just don't have people focusing on them and each story individually. I think if people heard the story of each child in foster care, they would run to adopt one. It pulls at the heartstrings to hear of a poor baby in the cold. Knowing there are children currently needing homes, but being taken care of...doesn't seem to have the same effect. Very sad, all children deserve a warm, loving home where they are wanted.

Snow Patrol's Lightbody Believes in Joanna Newsom, Not God {Spinner}

Nov 22nd 2008 10:22PM I think that is awesome, he is humble. That is so much more refreshing than some singers/bands/rappers that think they DESERVE the ______ award or get so mad when someone else wins something. I do think it is a great song...greatest ever, of all time, in the whole world..not so much. I absolutely applaud his grace and class though.

Isn't "not healthy" and "bad for you" the same thing? I think anything people can do to help the enviroment is great. Why dismiss what they are trying when there are many other companies that not only are not trying to do anything, but use massive amounts of packaging when none is needed. Toys are packaged in plastic, wires, cardboard and "try me" batteries that have to be replaced as soon as you get the toy home. Why not just put a price/barcode tag on the car, game, doll? Does the toy really need to be displayed in a box 3 times the size of the toy?

Pluto's Fight {AOL Video Blog}

Sep 18th 2007 7:59PM Think maybe some people take things to seriously? Who's to say that this was not a game of tag that went to far, the kid got scared and "Pluto" didn't realize it? The fall at the end, was NOT a push, it looks as though Pluto does a playful fall, she did not push him hard enough to cause him to fall.
And for the last time..it is not Pluto, not a dog, it is a person dressed up.

Pluto's Fight {AOL Video Blog}

Sep 18th 2007 12:38PM Happy Housewife.. I understand what you are saying. With that said, if a child at a party, park, ect. kicked you, what would you do? Chase him down like a raving lunatic? Probably not, would you calmly talk to the parents, probably a better idea. Never once did I say the child was right or well behaved, he was NOT. I said that he acted like a child with poor judgement acts.
As for the "Mom", no one even knows IF that is the mother, the kid just ran right past her. If I saw a child running and screaming, I would stop whoever or whatever was chasing him too. The child, showed childish judgement, so did whoever was in that suit. "Pluto" could have at anytime asked the family to leave the park or had someone ask them to leave. What was his point in chasing him? When he caught him, then what? Sit and have a nice chat with him? I doubt it. "Pluto" did not act in a professional and mature manner. The child, acted like...a child.

Pluto's Fight {AOL Video Blog}

Sep 18th 2007 12:17PM Children do not, at 5-9 years old have good judgement. That is why they are CHILDREN. It really does not matter what the child did, he could have hit "Pluto", kicked him or bitten him, in that suit, he didn't feel much of it I assure you. While that doesn't make it right, the man/woman in the costume is an ADULT and should show better judgement. It is difficult for children to rationalize that there is a person in the costume and that the person has spent hours sweating and working. To them, it is Pluto, a cartoon, character, toy. That is the whole point of Disneyland/world, Fantasy, make believe, pretend.
We as adults, know better. That is NOT "Pluto", that is an adult being paid to do a job that includes dealing with obnoxious children and parents. If he/she does not have the patience to do so, maybe they should find a new job.

Security Guard Claims Axl Gave Him the Boot {TMZ}

Sep 13th 2007 8:36PM I love Axl Rose, always have. So many actors, singers have been sued by people out for a buck. It is a waste of the courts time and it a great way to get your unknown name into the press. Become a celebrity by suing one. Whether it was 1996 or 2006, it is still quite a long time to wait. If someone kicked me in the head causing "severe" injuries, you can bet I would A.) Have them arrested and B.) Sue A.S.A.P if I was that badly hurt. Please, this will be thrown out of court so fast the "victim's" head will spin.

Random House offers refund for "A Million Little Pieces" {BloggingStocks}

May 18th 2007 8:48PM On the flip side of the comments made.. I too have battled my demons, reading the book..made me think, how was HE able to do this..and I am struggling with the small day to day stuff. I actually felt a bit of a failure for not being able to handle things that were so minscule in relation to the things he described. He may have helped some, but his book was a disservice to many others.
