Westminster Dog Show 2011 - Behind the Scenes {Pawnation OLD}
Feb 15th 2011 3:28PM These dogs LOVE the attention! Show dogs get more quality attention then any normal pet. And here is the kicker....they are ALL STILL SOMEONES PET!
I mean seriously, where do you think they LOVE most of the time? At a dog show? For crying out loud, a show is just a few hours a week twice a month...not every freakin day!
They get the BEST dog food. (a food I am currently feeding one of mine is $100 for an 11 pound bag)
They are bathed, flea free, wormed regularly, dental care.
Are you trying to tell me your AVERAGE pet owner spends this kind of time, energy and MONEY making sure their dogs are well cared for?
I doubt it honey.
Summer Trends -- What Turns Guys On, and What Flummoxes Us {Lemondrop}
Jun 30th 2010 10:38AM OK..this was a funny article!!
Seriously, I have thought it a time or two myself....
I think maxi dresses are cute, but nothing about them says anything but comfort...kinda like Gramma's MuMu.....
And those boot sandels...gotta completely agree....
Oh, I agreed with everything.....but laughing as I did.
How a Mom of Seven Got into the Best Shape of Her Life {That's Fit}
Jun 25th 2010 9:48AM This was the best most down to earth testimony I have read.
Weight Watchers is a great program that teaches you how to eat, that when you eat something sweet that you just have to plan on working it off. We can all have occassional treats, but you have to counter balance it by exercising.
I weighed 321 pounds and have dropped 100 of it to date.(like Julie I am also 5'9") I did NOT want to exercise at first but now that I am lighter I do and I don't hate it as I did. I think perhaps when I was really heavy, it wasn't comfortable? I don't know, but it is easier and fun now where it had not been before.
Way to Go Julie!! You are an inspiration to me!
Trend Spotlight: Booties {Shopping Articles Blog}
Jun 22nd 2010 9:38AM I WISH I could wear something that high! I think these are darling, but , better left to someone young with stronger ankles.
You can find similar ones much cheaper....cheap skate I am, I would never spend $100 for a shoe!
Former 'Biggest Loser' Contestant Calls the Show 'Dangerous' {PopEater}
Jun 22nd 2010 9:31AM I have often wondered about that show...it did seem unhealthy and unrealistic to me. You lose 12#s in one week most of that will be water, not fat. (Case in point, she said they were encouraged to dehydrate before a weigh in.)
While the program that you can use personally will probably be healthy, I think the show contestants are not doing it the healthy way at all.
This is TV Land, not reality. That will set many up to fail after they leave and people at home expecting the same results will be disappointed.
I think she is probably spot on and not being money hungry or "The Sorest Loser".
8 Great Ab Moves {That's Fit}
Jun 21st 2010 9:36AM Guys, guys, guys....
A fat person is probably not going to do these exercises so pointing out that it won't work for them is rather silly.
However if a fat person WERE to do them, it would build muscle. Building muscle will change how you look and increase energy, which, if you are fat, will also increase your desire to lose weight.
It all goes hand in hand, increased energy, increase metabolism, increased weight loss....
So don't willy-nilly say these won't work.
They are good exercises for ANYONE and anytime you can actually exercise, be you fat or slim, it is a good ting.
John Goodman Talks Massive Weight Loss on 'Late Show' (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Jun 17th 2010 10:45AM "all those fatties"...nice.
I often wonder why people need to even THINK it is proper to to express themselves in such a prejudicial manner? I would NEVER say that.
Have you no manners or, for GAWD sakes, FEELINGS? Your superiority is just a cover up for being inferior. Hope calling someone "fattie" makes up for your lack of humanity.
You go John!
3 Day Diet {That's Fit}
Jun 7th 2010 11:35AM Actually, you can survive very well on that amount of calories.
I have eaten about 500-700 calories a day for the past 5 months.
No hunger, no shakes from hypoglycemia, no headaches.
I exercise moderately.
The trick, unfortunately, is not an easy one.
I had weight loss surgery.
I am extremely healthy because of the weight loss.
So, yes, it can be done on that few of calories with no ill side effects.
Dr. Oz's B.E.A.C.H. Diet {That's Fit}
Jun 1st 2010 9:11AM Breakfast literally means "Breaking your Fast". So that would be the first meal you have after you have slept and get up to start your day. It isn't a specific time of day.
I do drink juice (light juice), but I water it down 50/50. It still tastes perfectly good.
I aviod breads, because I love it the most. (I still EAT bread, but keep it as minimal as possible)
I have lost 85#'s since January. I move freer, never have headaches anymore.
Even though over weight I never had joint problems, high blood pressure or the typical problems.
However, I feel REALLY good....I had no idea I didn't feel good!
Mutts Mingling With Pure Breeds at AKC Competitions {Pawnation OLD}
May 25th 2010 9:22AM Really Jim? Really? Hmmm.....how exactly does one get rich showing dogs?
Is it the $30 entry fee per dog, per day? Or the hotel we stay in for 2 nights at the price of at least $70 a night? Or is the the fuel we spend getting there at at least $3 a gallon? Or maybe the food we eat while traveling?
Add that up for say 20 weekends and what do you come up with? Roughly $10,000 a year for my hobby.
OK...so if I breed every other year, which I roughly do, and get $1000 a puppy for a litter (maybe 5 or 6 puppies) that makes $5000 every other year...hmmm...
Do ya see a little problem with the math there Jimmy?
You people need to quit talking out your butts and research EXACTLY what dog showing is and is about instead of acting like a bunch of SHEEP and repeating what HSUS and PETA are saying. Morons.....
