How to Navigate Washington, D.C. Without Going Nuts {Gadling}

Jul 16th 2011 4:48PM I hope limar doesn't scare people away. What happened is very, very, atypical.

Moreover, if the Metro were taken, none of this experience would have happened.

How to Navigate Washington, D.C. Without Going Nuts {Gadling}

Jul 16th 2011 4:44PM Metro is a bit crowded in rush hour, but not that terrible. It is a fabulous way to get around the DC Area.

DC is quite safe during the day provided you don't wonder off into bad neighborhoods in DC, which is not likely to happen. I agree that one should stay off the mall at night. Georgetown is pleasant and safe at night.

DC is a great and inexpensive place for a tourist. The Smithsonian has about 10 wonderful buildings, and all are free. But bring a good tourist book that lists the many, many, great places to visit. BTW, you can take the Metro to DC's wonderful zoo. The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery has a nice little cafeteria, with a courtyard where you can eat. But I could go on for hours.

84 Percent of Small Businesses Say U.S. Economy is on Wrong Track {AOL Small Business}

Jul 12th 2011 6:48PM Business should be wary of the economy.

The Republicans have decided not to allow an increase the debt limit. Worse, a good percentage of the public agrees with this.

Not increasing the debt would be disastrous to the country.

'Dance' Judge Mary Murphy Tells of More Arnold Womanizing {PopEater}

Parents Upset After School Yearbook Lists George W. Bush, Dick Cheney as Worst People of All Time {ParentDish}

Jun 2nd 2011 3:27PM I made one mistake in the previous post. Hitler certainly should be number one on the list.

Parents Upset After School Yearbook Lists George W. Bush, Dick Cheney as Worst People of All Time {ParentDish}

Jun 2nd 2011 3:25PM A very valid argument can be made that Bush and Cheney should be on the list, but listed in first and second place.

They lied us into a war in which we suffered about 100,000 killed and wounded, and in which we killed and wounded several hundred thousands. There is not much people can do that is worse than that.

Also, through their supply-side economics, and their elimination or nonenforcement of business regulations, they largely ruined our economy and more than doubled the national debt.

There are a lot more negative things that could be said about the two of them.

I Interviewed with the FBI {AOL Jobs}

Feb 8th 2011 11:45AM The subject may have been lucky that she was turned down. Much of the work is tedious in the extreme, which would be acceptable to only nonextroverted people. For instance, a former co-worker left the FBI because he had to spend many boring hours doing such work as staking out the homes of suspected bank robbers. The work is much less exciting than the TV shows indicate.

John Fox Named Broncos Coach {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Jan 13th 2011 8:34PM I am from the Charlotte area, and have watched Fox carefully over the past nine years. He is the personification of mediocrity, and I am delighted that the Panthers dumped him. He fell in love with the former quaterback Delome, and refused to bench him even after averaging about five interceptions a game. Fox is a loser.

Jacob Volkmann Plans to Ride Wave of Attention After Obama Comment {MMA Fighting}

Jan 12th 2011 10:12AM Volkmann is the idiot. (I hope he doesn't punch me out for saying that.) He may have taken too many blows to the head. Regarding health-care reform, does he really want the country going back to having 45,000 people dying every year due to lack of coverage? (We lost only 3,000 in 9/11, a one-time thing.) Is it OK with him that people are kicked out of plans because they get sick? Is it OK that we pay double what other advanced countries pay, and get a poorer health result? Etc.

Reeling Brett Favre in Trouble, Both On and Off the Field {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}

Oct 25th 2010 4:12PM Brett has always had a tendency to just put the ball up in the air with the hope that a receiver will get under it. This leads to disaster, and is certainly unacceptable to any good coach.
