Sep 27th 2010 4:07PM I agree. I stayed at a Comfort Inn in NC last week that was in poor condition but it was about the only place in town to stay. I had to change rooms because in the first one the AC didn't work. The carpets were threadbare and I don't think paint had touched the walls since it was built in th 70s.

Mar 26th 2010 3:38PM Barrack Obama - August 4th (9 of diamonds):
Diamonds are on the planet to clarify values. Diamonds like to spend money and like nice things. As the adults of the deck, Diamonds can't stand being told what to do. Beware of being too overbearing, stingy or bullying.

Mar 18th 2010 3:57PM I have used a rule of thumb for years (waitstaffers, like it or not):
Double the sales tax on the bill - BEFORE the taxes are added. Our state sales tax is 7.75% so the tip is 15.5% and it's easy to figure. If the sales tax is an odd amount - say $7.75 on a $100 tab - then I MAY round it up to $16.00.
