Cross-Cultural Smoking Etiquette {Gadling}

Feb 1st 2007 12:45PM I lived for two years in Prague and endured far too much smoke while there. I really, really hate smoking but never asked for people to stop because I was a guest in their country. I tried educating my friends and applying peer presure when I could, but never went so far as to tell strangers to stop it. That being said, some one is going to have to do this soon as the rest of Europe is starting to outlaw smoking indoors.

Castro Countdown Pool: Guess When He'll Croak, Win Prize! {Gadling}

Jan 22nd 2007 12:36PM Okay gang,
I’ll scale back on the political stuff. I bring it up occasionally when it affects travel, however. And Castro is a perfect example of that. When Castro dies, the regime will change and perhaps the U.S. will once again allow travel to Cuba. I suppose the post should have been titled, “Travel Countdown” to make clearer the travel connection. Nonetheless, I will aim for less politics and more travel in the future. Thanks for the comments and keeping us focused here at Gadling.
