House of the Day: Live Outside the Box -- in a Missile Silo {AOL Real Estate}
Dec 1st 2011 5:41PM
The government didn't spend a dime on renovating this site. In fact the government sold it. Of course had you read the rest of the story you would have known that and not made such a moronic post about the tax payers money being wasted or otherwise misused.
This is not the ONLY former missile silo that someone purchased. After the cold war many of these ICBM silos were sold.
"The ‘Silo Home,’ a former nuclear missile silo reconstituted as a private mountain retreat, has hit the Saranac, New York real estate market. Set on more than 19 forested acres within Adirondack State Park, the Silo Home is the architectural brainchild of two cousins who set about converting the abandoned 1950’s nuclear launch pad, previously built to house an Atlas-F intercontinental ballistic missile, in 1991. The duo spent the better part of 20 years creating an unparalleled 3,900-square-foot subterranean luxury estate with Cold War flair that can now be had for the reasonable price tag of $750,000."

Nov 27th 2011 1:43AM BANKERS MANIFESTO
We (the bankers) must proceed with caution and guard every move made, for the lower order of people are already showing signs of restless commotion. Prudence will therefore show a policy of apparently yielding to the popular will until our plans are so far consummated that we can declare our designs without fear of any organized resistance.
Organizations in the United States should be carefully watched by our trusted men, and we must take immediate steps to control these organizations in our interest or disrupt them.
At the coming Omaha convention to be held July 4, 1892, our men must attend and direct its movement or else there will be set on foot such antagonism to our designs as may require force to overcome.
This at the present time would be premature. We are not yet ready for such a crisis. Capital must protect itself in every possible manner through combination (conspiracy) and legislation.
The courts must be called to our aid, debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages foreclosed as rapidly as possible.
When, through the process of law, the common people have lost their homes,
they will be more tractable and easily governed through the influence of the strong arm
of the government applied to a central power of imperial wealth under the control of the leading financiers.
People without homes will not quarrel with their leaders. History repeats itself in regular cycles. This truth is well known among our principal men who are engaged in forming an imperialism of the world. While they are doing this, the people must be kept in a state of political antagonism.
The question of tariff reform must be urged through the organization known as the Democratic Party, and the question of protection with the reciprocity must be forced to view through the Republican Party.
By thus dividing voters, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting over questions of no importance to us, except as teachers to the common herd. Thus, by discrete actions, we can secure all that has been so generously planned and successfully accomplished.

Nov 26th 2011 11:10AM Took loans they couldn't possibly pay? Okay so the bank has all their data. You know stupid things like oh, let's say their INCOME and the bank can check their credit score AND find out whom they owe and how much they owe and what their payments are. Ok? So with all this information at hand, the bank approves the loan? I guess that would be the fault of the bank now wouldn't it???
Also let's say the couple are both working and paying their bills then one of them loses their job. Is that their fault? Maybe they should have foreseen this coming and not taken the loan?
After Slowdown, Foreclosures Rise Again {AOL Real Estate}
Nov 10th 2011 6:55PM Oh but not blaming the banks are we? Yet many of these people were told by the ones that got them the loaans that they could easily afford their home and used whatever math they could to prove it. But just reading your moronic post I guess you don't want those low income and minorities to live in a home. Maybe you would prefer they live on the street. Hey maybe they can live on your street.

This is not just what bankers think about the average American it is also what the rich think about the average American.
Restaurant Bans Young Children {AOL Small Business}

Absolutely! Wish more restaurants would do this! The worse experiences
I have had were on Father's Day and Mother's Day. If you have small ones
celebrate AT HOME!
So if you don't have kids then don't go to the restaurants on Mother's Day or Father's Day. Seems that it is the kid that MAKES you a mother or a father. I mean unless the kid is sitting next to your table and is screaming in your ear at least in the establishments I have been in, the noise is not all that bad given the back ground noise of the operation of the restaurant and the guests talking.

That is why they are the cream of the crop and can waste their money on whatever they want. It ain't their fault people like you are broke as hell and can't even purchase a disposable one. They have worked for their money for low class people like you start crying cuz they are spending their well earned money on what whatever prickles their pickle
Excuse me? Cream of the crop? Sorry but those bastards are no better than anyone else. They put their pants on the same way everybody else does. Personally if they want respect then they have to earn it. It is not something that they should get because they are rich. Buy the way genius, not all of them worked their asses off to get their wealth. Many of them were just born into wealthy families. Cream of the crop indeed. A weed is a weed is a weed.

May 30th 2011 1:39PM bull crap--there are no so called homeless veterans here in America unless they are druggies or alcoholics which has nothing to do with the military..They hit the streets because of themselves--Liberal whack jobs sure do like to lie about our military
Get your head out of your anal orifice dr jon. You have absolutely no clue what these people have gone through and what damage they have had inflicted on them from being in a war zone.
They do however have a place they can turn to for help. They need to look up their local Disabled American Veterans office.

The answer to your question,"To protect himself". The second amendment gives us that right, and no one should be able to take it away. By the way, learn to spell. You sound stupid when you can't spell.
Yes the second amendment crap again. BUT the State of New York has laws regarding handgun ownership and it requires the person to obtain a permit ro own and carry a handgun. Rifles and shotguns do not fall under the permit requirement. But since a permit is required then this clown should have obtained a permit. If he were in Arizona, he wouldn't have a problem since permits are not required in that state. Plain and simple thing here. Obey the laws of the state you are in and you wont have a problem.
