Jun 3rd 2011 12:00AM Alicia, your not a dog trainer are you? In fact your probably one of those idiots that think little dog's are cute when they snap or are "just playing". Well, I am a dog trainer. There is a lot to be said about the genetics of a dog as to how it will behave and how it is raised and socialized. But your comment that if the dog got loose and the little girl ran up and it was scared then it was not the dog's fault is BS! A properly bred, socialized, trained dog would have cowarded maybe or growled but not bit. I train German Shepherds to be service dogs and they by nature tend to be shifty as pups. There is not a single one that a large mentally ill, verbally and mobility challenged man or woman couldn't run up to and grab and hug face to face (and one guy love sombraros) and the most they do is put back their ears and turn their heads. These dogs are off lease and don't bother other dogs or kids or food. I save these dogs from shelters when they are given up so they are not some super dog. It's about how you train them and only keeping dogs alive that are geneticlly and emotionally stable. Sorry if that sounds cruel. Stop over breeding! The problem with dogs is greedy breeders who know nothing of biology and stupid people who know nothing of the pyschology of a dog. You should have to take classes to have kids and dogs. Thanks!

Jun 2nd 2011 11:34PM It says in the article they give him a plate of food to smell and play with, how does this not cause an allergic reaction? I am severely allergic to cinnamon if I eat, TOUCH, or INHALE it I have a reaction. Why does the same not happen to this boy with playing and smelling foods. Also happens to my cousin when he comes into contact with strawberries or tomatoes, he doesn't have to ingest them.

May 26th 2011 8:05PM I despise, detest, and hate children! My best friend wants to be a mother to every child coming and going, plus her three. I have very concrete ideas how children should act and that is so not her middle son! I had ovarian cancer and cannot have kids, but before that I offen joked if I ever had a kid I was giving it to her. No matter the differences we still survive and when I come over she just tells her middle ADHD son to please go play in the game room. She knows I would do anything for them, but I just don't care for kids. But we do have play dates for the dogs!

Apr 6th 2011 7:02PM No wonder we live in a world of pain med addicts. This article and many of you parents make it sound like a child needs pain medicine for simple procedures! Finger stick...pain meds. I.V... pain meds. Taking blood...pain meds. Please everyone else sucks it up and deals with the pain, let children learn to cope without pain meds. Not saying they shouldn't have them for severe procedures or injury, but Americans need over their pill-to-fix-all craze.

Dec 1st 2010 9:30AM Why not give your kid's gifts on holidays. I give my mother gifts year round, to earn holiday gifts. Sometimes you just need something. Like I needed a kitchen table so my dad gifted me one for Christmas. Now if your 20ish and still asking for games and a wii or xbox and stuff, that's one thing, but something that you can keep forever. Gift it.
