A Trip Through The Kabul Airport - With A Few Extra Security Checks {Gadling}

Dec 4th 2012 1:35PM Nice to read a trip report on Kabul. I've been there twice over the past two years and despite the chaos, can't get enough. Airport security was a nightmare this summer. On my trip home, the electricity went out and they insisted on opening all the bags that were coming through. I simply walked past the first checkpoint and into the airport. Nobody said a thing and it saved me a lot of time and trouble. Nobody plays by the rules there, which was often frustrating, but in this case it worked in my favor.
