How To Deal With The Ridiculous New Airline Change Fees {Gadling}
May 8th 2013 8:08PM For now, Southwest charges no fees to change a ticket. I wonder how long that will last. I usually fly on free or reward tickets and changed my American Airlines ticket 3 times in April for no fee. I edit a travel hacking site for those who enjoy business class without paying for it: http://www.MileageUpdate.com
Searching, Thinking, Speaking Travel Apps No Match For Human Brain, Maybe {Gadling}
Apr 24th 2013 8:39AM "rapidly reallocating resources " Reminds me of last week when my wife got delayed at LAX coming through immigration and then delayed in DFW due to weather. I was home awaiting her return, using apps, iPhones, landlines and PC to find her new flights and hotels.
I really like Pintrips and I am currently writing an article about them on my site for those crazy mile collectors, http://www.MileageUpdate.com - If you are in DC the weekend of 4/27/13 stop by at Hilton Tyson's Corner, we are attending the Frequent Traveler University (FTU)
Photo Of The Day: Philippines Jeepney {Gadling}
Mar 10th 2013 4:40PM When I lived in the Philippines I often rode Jeepenys. As a somewhat tall American guy I caution you the ceiling is rather low. I once bumped my head on a rusty nail, otherwise, it is a wonderful way to meet people and get around the Philippines without blowing your budget. I met my wife there and this fiesta season she is flying there to visit, on American Airlines / japan Airlines business class for free. Mar 10th 2013 4:33PM We are seeing more alliances as the number of airlines shrink. There is a fight for your loyalty and there is a multitude of information out there. We try to keep it all in one place. The worst thing is to let miles expire. We also have links on how you can earn miles with things you are already purchasing. Photo Of The Day: B Train, New York City {Gadling}
Feb 18th 2013 8:09AM I recently stayed at the 4 Points Sheraton Times Square. My wife and I were so excited to ride the subway, this was not shared by those around us.
I stayed for free at the hotel using my Starwoods Points. I edit a web site that offers tips and tricks to fly and stay free, http://www.MileageUpdate.com
Mandatory Car Rental Insurance: Watch Out For Bait-And-Switch Pricing {Gadling}
Feb 16th 2013 9:26AM You did the right thing by walking away. Thrifty should have disclosed the mandatory insurance pricing. Although it was a change in your plans, the best way to get around is to utilize the tour bus and van system associated with the sites you are going to see. From San Jose, I went to Arenal and back. I could not imagine driving myself. The bridges are one lane and the oncoming car seems to race with suicidal intention so they can cross first. For me, renting a car would be too stressful in the land of Pura Vida. Check out my travel hacking tips and resources at http://www.MileageUpdate.com

Hotel Room Of The Future: Tablet Touch Walls May Be Coming Your Way {Gadling}
Feb 6th 2013 10:26AM This is a necessary evolution in the market. I am sure the hotel marketers will encourage guests to leave a review on a social media site. I am a fan of Hilton and Starwoods and use tactics and strategies from http://www.MileageUpdate.com to get free rooms or free upgrades. I will have to request a video wall next stay.
Instagramming Food: Fun Or Faux Pas? {Gadling}
Jan 26th 2013 12:25PM My wife photo blogs our food. Sometimes I am so hungry I can't wait, but I remember how patient she is with me when I travel hack for points, stopping at many grocery and drugstores for reloadable gifts cards and money orders. As an editor of a travel blog, I love these stories. I love to fly first and business class for free: http://www.MileageUpdate.com
5 Places To See In 2013 Before They Disappear {Gadling}
Jan 11th 2013 10:41AM I have seen the first two on this list, and I am building up my frequent flyer miles to visit the next two (Maldives and Madagascar) as for the Polar Bears, I will leave them in peace, maybe just do an Alaska Cruise. Note on Madagascar, Paris is the main fly to airport when I look at tickets from USA. Delta seems to offer some flights, I guess I will have to build up my "Sky Pesos" using the tricks listed on http://www.MileageUpdate.com
