Jan 13th 2013 6:54PM The big issue is the reason the economy is growing so much is due to new mines opening. so inflation in the economy sounds great, but most people wont get a cent from it, or be able to afford KFC :-)

Dec 19th 2012 5:19PM This same thing happened to me, this year. I applied for a double entry tourist visa with 6 months validity. What I didn't realise was I was given a double entry transit visa wioth 3 months validity, despite the Chinese Embassy in Canberra having a copy of my itinerary. So when I returned to China for the second time at Urumqi airport, I was detained. No confessions needed to be signed, nor was there an option of paying a fine. However the real fine was paying a whopping $2k for a plane ticket home, because that is all that is available. I was given 24 hours to pass through china!
