A Traveler In The Foreign Service: Diplomacy Isn't Just For Diplomats {Gadling}

Sep 24th 2012 6:49PM More Americans traveling abroad is probably a good idea, and especially to countries with Muslims. That way, if it's possible to meet and talk with them, we can get a broader view of Muslim thinking than we get from watching riots on TV, or seeing on the Internet Sharia 'invasions' of Dearborn, Michigan and neighborhoods in Europe. This wouldn't be a perfect way to enlighten us as to how many Muslims feel, but it's better than our general ignorance resulting from living (as many do) without any contact with Muslims.
