Dec 7th 2011 11:34AM Ok.. I am just an average person here, first let me say my opinion of 'firefighters' just dropped a bit. Usually people that sign up for these positions are, in my opinion, selfless individuals. Very brave, corageous, and all around WANT to do this job. When this tax was passed, I am very suprised THEY weren't amoung the first ones to stand up and fight. For them to just sit there and watch a house burn, is pretty bad. Just my opinion. Now to the moronic, desk jockey law makers.... Here is a thought. I am going to assume a few things, so I could be off, but let us say the homeowner owned the house. Let us say they have insurance. If they can't afford a $75 yearly fee, they probably don't have insurance. So here is my point. They are paying taxes on this structure. Miami I pay $5000 a year, this area, let's just say $500 a year. Mostly likely, they are not going to rebuild after this fire. So the brilliant law maker, is out the yearly $75, and now they are out $500 or more in annual taxes. These "shoot from the hip" laws and decisions are why this country is in shambles. Will the police in that district let you get robbed, because you don't donate? I am sure there are homeowners that don't pay school taxes, will their kids stop being taught? Sad and dumb system to get money from the tax payers. This is nothing more than a legalized mafia... If you pay me this money I will protect you...... Think about it..
Delta Air Lines charges returning soldiers for checked bags {Gadling}
Jun 8th 2011 8:37AM I'm a pilot, for another airline, and ex military. I do my best to look out or the men and woman serving our country. On a van ride to the airport, I had the pleasure sitting next to a young man, that had missed his connecting flight, trying to get home after arriving back from the sandbox. Also, in the van was a Delta crew. In the conversation with the soldier I asked were he was headed, and he said Atlanta. Figuring that was where the Delta crew was headed, I asked the Delta Captain if they were headin to Atlanta, he said they were. So, me being me, I said, " try not to leave without this soldier here, we need to get him home!". Well, mr. Arrogant schmuck Delta, turns around, looks at the soldier and just shrugs his shoulders saying if he made it through security ontime, they'll be there. What a complete a$$hole. I proceded to walk him to the ticket counter and politely asked TSA, if he could skip ahead with me. They obliged 100%. The funny part is, I would nearly guarantee that the delta schmuck WAS ex military. How we easily forget where we came from. I, nor anyone around me will fly Delta. I truly despise this company, and am sorry for the Northwest folks, that now have to call themselves.... Delta.

Apr 24th 2010 7:36PM I truly can't wait to return to the gate, and make a PA telling you people that due to the laws YOU enacted, we had to return to the gate. The flight will cancel, and there are no more flights tonight. Enjoy your rights in JFK, especially the Delta terminals!! I think the rats are still trapped inside the Chiles restaraunt in term 3.. Feb 26th 2010 10:03AM It's ok.. The pathetic judging was a sham as always. The canadian got third in the last two events. Purely a sympathy medal, definately not based on merit. She didn't deserve it, and did not EARN it. Those two american girls, are young and are going to kick some ass in the future. They did a great job. The Canadian had her few minutes, she won't be back nor should she be..

Feb 26th 2010 8:25AM Rigged.. You cannot falter a bit in an Olympic event and get a medal.. The first two, Korea and Japan.. Truly amazing, and a wonderful job. The Canadian?? She tripped and nearly fell twice and gets the bronze?!?!?!?! I did not see having mom die as one of the judging categories. She should not have been up there. The other Japanese girl faltered a bit also, but did a better job than the Canadian, and of course the younger American. Skating has always been corrupt, but this is sad, and pathetic. Shame on you judges..

The joke Letterman told is in need of ZERO apologies. There are worse things going on in the US, than some washed up wanna-be beauty queens feelings. Palin....you are a disgrace...please just fade away......go buhbye...You DO remind me of a slutty old flight attendant. I think that was in the top 10 list somewhere..
TSA pulls pants off of elderly man during search {Gadling}
Jul 28th 2008 6:14PM I travel for my job. I hit TSA approximately 6 plus times in a week. The system is a joke. It looks great don't get me wrong, but its all show. When it really counts like situations such as these, the TSA buffoons
blunder into oblivion. It is a complete power trip for most of the uneducated monkeys doing this job. I have passed through a security check in a MAJOR NY airport, to wake the TSA agent up, to ask if he wanted to screen me.... No joke... Granted I was in a pilots uniform, and it is a less used checkpoint, but it is still a checkpoint... I suggest firing at least HALF of these jokes, let them take their pretty new badges home with them, but fire HALF. Train the others to do the job, and when they fail a check, like passing a weapon through, FIRE THEM. Do not continue to just say OOPS we messed up. Terminate them. Hire a new monkey that can be trained.....
