Aug 22nd 2012 4:33PM We were thrilled with the news! Our is indeed a culture of many contrasts and there are still many ways in which we can improve. Still, one of the greateast benefits of Costa Rican personality is service. Our people are truly hospitable and eager to show visitors around. This is paramount in a country where tourism is one of the major contributors to the economy and employment. Ticos and Ticas (as Costa Ricans are called) don't have a hard time finding something to complain about, since we are very well aware of what our society lacks. Nonetheless, it's a place where locals and foreginers are likely to end up laughing and making jokes about even the most serious of issues... taking it lightly and learning to laugh at ourselves seems to be the secret.
