An Unforgettable Backcountry Tour Of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park {Gadling}

Jan 9th 2013 3:28PM Rosie seems like a really nice lady, but I don't think any of Raiders of the Lost Ark was filmed around there. There were some scenes from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade that were filmed in southern Utah, but I don't recall the Big Hogan in that either. I could be wrong.

Top American Destinations To Avoid In 2013 {Gadling}

Jan 7th 2013 12:08PM I'm biased because I live in Salt Lake, but Salt Lake is only boring if you prefer your air "conditioned". As far as drinking goes, if you can't find a drink in Salt Lake then you aren't that thirsty. Most restaurants have beer and many have bars attached where you can get your drink on.

There are loads of outdoor activities to do right from Salt Lake, but it is also a great jumping off point for many others. We have some good museums and other venues for a city our size. The Met or the AIC they are not, but Salt Lake makes up for it in many other ways. Like I said I'm biased, but that's my two cents.

Held Hostage By The School Calendar? Year-Round Schools Allow Parents To Travel Offseason {Gadling}

Aug 14th 2012 5:16PM We are in a year round school area, and for sure it is great for traveling. We have four tracks to choose from so you can have a break at just about any time of the year you want, if you are able to get your desired track. I see no downside to year round school. Unfortunately the elementary schools are the only participants in year round school. Traditional school schedule kicks in after that. Home school anyone?
