Petra: Beyond The Treasury {Gadling}

May 28th 2012 2:30PM All I knew of Petra before I arrived was the Treasury from the Indiana Jones movie. I was so surprised by the vast city beyond and the beautiful conditions of the ruins. I was also amazed that as much as I loved the Treasury, the real hidden gem is the Monastery. It is well worth the hike and the views on the other side of the mountains and valleys are gorgeous.

I was only there for a full day, but all of my family wished we had built in an extra day for more exploring.
