Advantageous mp3 simplifies Amazon comparison shopping {TUAW.com}
Apr 9th 2009 1:51PM Even though Amazon now has an adjusted price system, they are still in great shape to catch up with iTunes. Overall, their prices are simply better and that means everything in this economy. And on top of that, they do a great job with daily promotions and deals which people eat up! For example, I love their daily mp3 album deal which is a complete album download for usually around $2 or $3. That is an affordable way for me to build up my mp3 collection while not spending a fortune. You just need to be patient while you wait for an album you like. I use the following page and google gadget to track the deal so I never miss one:

iTunes Store now infected with variable pricing, Amazon still $0.99 {Engadget}
Apr 7th 2009 12:38PM Amazon is really going to move up in the market share thanks to what iTunes is doing. Amazon understands the benefits of having affordable songs and great specials. I usually just follow amazon's mp3 album daily deal to get a great bargain. i can get a complete album for sometimes less than the price of one track on iTunes (sometimes). I usually use the following page and gadget to make sure i never miss their deal:

Mar 24th 2009 8:33PM Everyday Amazon has a daily deal like that, a complete album download for usually $1 or $2. Anyway, you can track it here or even install a widget/gadget to make it easy to track and even preview the songs:

How would you improve TiVo suggestions? {PVR Wire}
Nov 28th 2006 10:45AM This is a side product that Tivo should produce/sell that would be a big hit, in my opinion. A portable tivo player. Basically it would be a 7" to 10" portable video player, just like the tons of DVD players out there, but this would be specifically for playing tivo recordings. It would have internal memory with either a network adapter or maybe built in wireless adapter (which would increase cost) that would allow easy transfering of shows to the portable device. I know I would do this because I currently do it with my portable DVD player and DVD-Rs. But this is a very timely process that basically takes all night to do, from copying the file, to burning a DVD using MyDVD. And when its all over, I have to throw away the DVD. Anyway, a portable Tivo player would be a great market for them to get into.
