SkyMall Monday: Anniversary Gift Card Giveaway {Gadling}
Oct 12th 2009 3:45PM Noseaid. I remember hanging out reading Skymall Monday with my sister last Thanksgiving and suffering from uncontrollable laughter while trying to read the paragraph about that poor 74 year old grandfather.
Here's to Skymall Monday! I look forward to another wonderful year of useless crap.

Sep 12th 2009 5:45PM I keep reading all these updates, trying to figure out who the good guy is here, but I realized that there really isn't one. It's a whole bunch of finger-pointing and name calling from two very immature individuals.
Is Best Buy right in not honoring $9.99 big-screen TV offer? {TV Squad}
Aug 13th 2009 3:05PM And I fully understand this. Everybody knows that nearly all the people who purchased this product were well aware that it was a glitch. Still, Best Buy offered a product at a price, mistake or not, and the company should honor the price that they listed, no matter whether the people knew it was a mistake or not.
And I agree, if some nutjob decided to buy a TV that was mis-listed for $90,000, he should have to honor that too. I fully understand where you are coming from, and I completely get the reasons behind your opinion, but I still believe that purchasing an item enters you into a contract with the company, and that the company should honor the price that was quoted to you. It's one of the dangers of purchasing items on the internet, and it affects both retailers, and consumers.
Is Best Buy right in not honoring $9.99 big-screen TV offer? {TV Squad}
Aug 13th 2009 2:47PM It is a difficult situation, but I do think that Best Buy should hold up their offer. These consumers were obviously taking advantage of an unfortunate situation, but still, this situation was solely the responsibility of Best Buy. It is never the consumer's fault if a company screws up, no matter how well aware of the situation when the consumer purchases it.
Best Buy shouldn't honor the deal because of goodwill, but because they listed a product, people purchased it, and they must fulfill their orders to their consumers.

Chris Columbus' 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' Looks VERY Familiar {Cinematical}
Jul 15th 2009 6:41PM Folks, it's a teaser trailer, and it's impossible not to admit that this trailer is very reminiscent of Harry Potter, and for very good reason.
We have no idea what the movie will really look like, but from all accounts regarding this trailer, it's marketed very much as a Potter clone.
Terrific Trailers: Miami Vice {Cinematical}
Jul 3rd 2009 10:24PM I had a special place for this trailer, because it was the first thing I ever saw on a digital screen, and I was blown away. This still remains as one of my favorite trailers of recent years, it was well-paced, well-timed, and really captured Mann's very modern, digital style.
Of course, the movie was a bit of a letdown, but I still thought it was okay.
