Survey Suggests American Airlines Has Rudest Employees Among Domestic Carriers {Gadling}

Dec 13th 2012 6:52PM I choose to fly Southwest. Their employees are competent, friendly and make the entire flight experience as good as they can, despite most flights being full. I to assume that they like their job and company and most importantly, the mechanics are also happy.

Jacob Volkmann Plans to Ride Wave of Attention After Obama Comment {MMA Fighting}

Jan 11th 2011 9:41PM Ignorance and chiropractic seem to go hand-in-hand at times.

President Obama Attacks FOX News {Politics Daily}

Jun 19th 2009 1:48PM If Fox even saw some positives in the present administrations actions, one could find some relevance in their conservative positions. But no, it all has to be negative, just like Rush Limbaugh, ... maybe it is entertainment, certainly not news.

Oil hits record $127.43 on supply concerns, raised Goldman forecast {BloggingStocks}

May 16th 2008 2:54PM This is beyond a supply-and-demand issue. The rise in prices is secondary to speculation, which at times, appears to be coordinated to keep the price high. One could imagine several scenarios that would serve these speculators. One, greed, all consuming. Or,two, hurt the western economies, even more than 9/11. Someone has to be able to regulate the hedge funds and other equity funds to see who is really buying. Remember, during WWII, price guaging was a crime.

Fashion Can Kill {oldstylelist}

Mar 17th 2008 5:25PM I'm sorry its your daughter, also. Our young 13 year old has anorexia nervosa and is now undergoing residential treatment for her disorder. It is the most common fatal psychiatric diagnosis with a fatality rate of 5-15%, depending on whose statistics you read. It's all about the "need to be skinny" and fit into those tight little jeans. It's all about not having an ounce of fat on your body, or a tummy that might protrude an ounce. It's about fitting in with the other girls. Its the sports teachers who push, push, and tell the girls to lose weight and get faster or jump higher. It's the message in health class to avoid fats at any cost, drink only skim milk, and "eat healthy" (which means little food at all). Too many bad messages in our peculiar society. Remember Karen Carpenter.

Starbucks sued over hot chocolate incident {Slashfood}

Nov 27th 2006 5:24PM My wife and I both thought that the McDonald's incident was incredible until she received a 2nd degree burn from coffee made on an English train which spilled onto her pants. The skin lifted off just as it did in this child's case. There really is no need to serve these liquids that hot.
