Ask anyone who has been in a bar fight or altercation on the street, the cost of defending yourself and the subsequent fines are really not worth any “street” sense of justice. Where I live in PA a man punched another on the street and while it is called simple assault it cost $50,000 to defend him and he lost the case, house and job gone.
