Oct 21st 2009 3:32PM The stores and restaurants are usually outsourced to a company like HMS Host, so they are the ones running the show, not the airport authority themselves.

Similarly, it's usually not up to the authority running the airport to get the necessary public transport to the site. While the public transportation may ultimately be the responsibility of the same city or county authority who own the airport, the levels of interaction between these groups is often minimal, if at all.
