Sep 26th 2012 5:05PM This is SO true! People tell me this all the time too - and they are usually people who make WAY more money than I do. I don't make a high income, and I live nicely when I'm home, but I do travel a lot because as you say, a lot of what we spend money on at home (most of it even) isn't necessary when we are traveling. And because of the destinations I travel to and the way I travel, I can often travel for way cheaper than staying at home. Somehow, people just don't seem to get this.
Why I hate The Amazing Race {Gadling}
Oct 6th 2011 4:13PM I think the difference is, the Amazing Race is not really a travel show. It's a race, an obstacle course that is around the world rather than around the track and field. I am all about slow travel too, but this isn't about the travel.
