Vagabond Tales: Lunch on Guilty Beach, Cambodia {Gadling}

Jan 13th 2012 6:25AM Not sure about child safe, but the author actually heads up his own nonprofit in Cambodia called One Degree Forward which raises money for scholarships for deserving students, many of whom are orphans. As a few readers have pointed out, education is one of the best ways to stem this unfortunate reality.

Umpqua National Forest: Oregon's waterfall alley {Gadling}

Nov 7th 2011 10:05PM Wow, Oregonian, thank you for pointing out the error. That was a previous draft with the incorrect spelling of Umpquah. Yes, I indeed know that it is Umpqua, and I intended to change it to the correct spelling. Too much time driving makes my eyes weak...thanks for reading, and commenting.

Why I hate The Amazing Race {Gadling}

Sep 21st 2011 8:07PM Couldn't have put it better, Melanie. Do I want to be on the show? Absolutely. Do I wince when I watch it? Every time. I think my biggest gripe with the show is how unrealistic and contrived it is. So 11 teams have to somehow get from Switzerland to Brazil by their own devices, and somehow they all end up on the same flight sitting next to each other? Really? I could go on, but I love that you explored this. Bravo.

The secret formula for writing a successful travel narrative {Gadling}

Sep 2nd 2011 12:30PM Thanks for the continued tips, Don. I really enjoyed the day out at Pt. Reyes, with perhaps my only regret being that I didn't buy enough cheese. Thanks again for the article, and great to see you on here.
