Jan 27th 2013 3:27PM Sorry to burst your little anti-official bubble Gary, but that is FAR from the truth. My friends had a problem with a disabled guy who decided 4 years ago he no longer wanted to pay rent. The owner of the property is on our village board of trustees and two of his brothers are members of our police force. They have spent thousands of dollars and tried everything to legally remove this leech to no avail. Finally, Hurricane Sandy came through and destroyed the property the week he was FINALLY to be served eviction papers through the state police dept.
You might want to realize the cops don't exist simply to pee on your personal parade. If you don't realize that, next time you or yours needs help, call a plumber!

Sep 30th 2012 4:06PM As I JUST reported my dirtbag neighbor of 3 years (OF HELL) to the Police for once again taking off for hours and leaving 4 ceaselessly BARKING dogs out in all kinds of weather (we just had a pretty severe rainstorm and they had no shelter), I completely disagree with this! These dogs bark incessantly. As our houses are 15 feet apart, there is NO ESCAPING this constant noise. Something needs to be done for we, the beleaguered neighbors forced by idiotic miscreants to endure this TORTURE. Where is the LAW protecting MY right to peace in my own home? Why does it always seem progressive liberals protect the thoughtless, selfish, ANNOYING people among us, while ignoring the plight of the thoughtful, polite and responsible people?

Aug 19th 2012 1:27PM So sorry Ellen. This isn't what we were raised to expect from our once wonderful country. Have you looked into reverse mortgage? A friend's Mom was in similar straights, went that route and it saved her home. One catch, we live in a "flood zone" and all of her VERY expensive insurance costs need to remain intact and the payments are her responsibility in order to to maintain the contract. This pathetic situation simply highlights that our "public servants" from the President on down to the dog catcher are all money-grubbing THIEVES and their lust for profits has gotten completely out of control!
