Jul 25th 2011 4:37PM Personally I prefer "sin taxes" on things we wish to discourage (say smoking) rather than than things we might want to encourage (say for instance WORKING). One can always elect not to participate by not using the taxed item. Marriage on the other hand is hard to avoid and heavily penalized by AMT. Why don't you complain about that??
