Cockpit Chronicles: There's more behind the Air France 447 crash than pilot error {Gadling}
Aug 12th 2011 6:14PM Nice article once again, Kent. And shame on the reporters of the Australian piece "Baby Pilot at the Controls". Gimme a break. The pilots may have made some mistakes, but certainly they were qualified to fly the plane. And then the quote about American pilots would have never done this, because they are all from military backgrounds. It's easy to sit back with 20/20 hindsight and 2nd guess the actions of these pilots. It's a much different story when the events are happening to you in real time.
Cockpit Chronicles: Landing an airline pilot job just got harder, but here's one way to do it. {Gadling}
Jul 11th 2011 9:51AM I suggest C! You are young and as Kent said in his post, you WILL make it to an airliner. Also, there are companies like Air Net where you can get valuable single pilot IMC multi time. At night to boot. Good luck to you. I wish I had started doing this at a younger age; I was busy touring to country trying to make it as a rock star....

Jul 7th 2011 3:48PM Indeed! I have worked so many jobs for lackluster pay w/no hope of ever making more. At least w/aviation, if you can get your foot in the door you might just rise up the ranks and make a decent living. Plus you get to play w/planes all day....
I know an Eagle captain who is making a solid 6 figure salary. Sounds good to me.
