Folly Beach, South Carolina: The Country's Greatest Fourth of July {Gadling}

Jul 23rd 2011 2:38AM USED to be a nice place. I recently moved back to Charleston and Folly has definitely gone down hill. I know at least a dozen people that have gotten Ecoli from Folly. It is near impossible to find parking and it is all about the booze. And now, Folly Park was closed due to finding WWII war heads. Definitely not a place you want to take children, especially later in the afternoon. If you are out to get drunk and listen to foul mouth rude punks...folly is the place to be, otherwise...avoid it like the plague!
