Knocked up abroad: Turkish superstitions on pregnancy and children {Gadling}

Apr 5th 2011 2:20AM I just stumbled upon your blog and found that I am due I think about three weeks after you (early August). I'm an expat in Ankara, from the US, but married to a Turk. Currently I'm stuck in Wisconsin with my family because I developed a bleeding problem while I was here due to a low-lying placenta. I should be back soon though, as I plan to give birth in Ankara, and would love to keep in touch about being pregnant in Turkey - i.e. what if the nurses that teach you how to breastfeed only speak Turkish? I found the Turkish superstitions to be hilarious and right on. I've also heard not to eat sucuk :)
