25 Haunting Shipwrecks Around the World {Gadling}

Apr 20th 2011 2:30PM 3 MILLION shipwrecks?! That's insane! I just finished looking through the gallery and those pictures, while beautiful, are definitely creepy. Is there a way to find out the story behind each one? For example, the name of the ship and what happened?

CheckYourRoom.com launches hotel personality quiz {Gadling}

Apr 20th 2011 2:19PM I was intrigued so I decided to try my luck. I got the romantic room as well with a good number of rooms in Italy (a place that I've always wanted to visit). Sounds like it's pretty spot on!

Raft for the Cure in Moab this June {Gadling}

Apr 19th 2011 2:03PM That sounds awesome! If it weren't so far away from me, I'd definitely want to join in on the festivities.

Travel industry spending big bucks for you to see them online {Gadling}

Apr 19th 2011 1:44PM The only time I ever really see travel ads are online. I get one on TV every once in a while but those ads are few and far between. They also don't usually provide as much information as internet ads are capable of since they just focus on showing you pretty pictures instead of actually letting you know what current deals are. I think the internet would be much more useful in general. At the very least, it allows people to share the information with others.

Latin America on a budget: Bogota, Colombia {Gadling}

Apr 19th 2011 1:35PM Ever since I found out that my favorite novela (Spanish soap opera) was filmed in Columbia, I've been wanting to take a trip out there in the future. It looks so beautiful, especially the countryside but I definitely wouldn't mind hanging around in Bogota on your wallet-friendly budget. Thanks for the recommendations!

Echo chainsaw commercial shows TSA at their worst {Gadling}

Apr 19th 2011 1:18PM I think it's hilarious. Is it a little crazy? Sure, but it's just poking a bit of fun at how airport security has gotten lately. I don't have an issue with it but I also haven't been on a plane in a few years. However, compared to the last time I flew anywhere, the pat downs that I get when going to a concert are/were more thorough.

How to pirate-proof a ship {Gadling}

Apr 19th 2011 1:12PM Maybe it's the media frenzy that happens whenever pirates are involved but it seems to me like this is a problem that is just continuing to get worse despite efforts to combat it.

D.I.Y. facial, courtesy of your hotel's breakfast bar {Gadling}

Apr 18th 2011 8:08PM I have to say, the title of this post definitely got my attention. It all seems fine, even if a bit silly at times, but I don't think I'd be too comfortable putting raw egg on my face. Sounds gross and like it might not be a very good idea.

SkyMall Monday: Microwave cookware makes nuking easy {Gadling}

Apr 18th 2011 8:00PM Mike, Skymall Monday is easily my favorite day of the week all because of you. I want the s'mores maker and the pasta boat. I've had microwaved eggs before and they don't taste the same - probably because I coat my pan in butter when I make them.

Let's do brunch. Some scrambled eggs with a little pasta on the side and s'mores for dessert.

Organic flower farms: a trip worth making {Gadling}

Apr 18th 2011 7:51PM When my parents and I moved out to the countryside the summer after I graduated from high school, we were pleased to discover that several of our neighbors were farmers. One family grows organic flowers and has a few rows of flowers about a ten minute walk down the road. My grandmother passed her love of flowers onto my mother and now she and I always find time to sneak out of the house and visit the flowers. We bought a few and have them growing around the house. They're far prettier than any plants I've seen in stores and they're a great way to make others aware of the importance of sustainable practices.
